30 Day Shred - Opinions Please!

Tizzie, 10 August, 2012 at 12:59 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

Think i might buy this to get a bit more into shape. Not looking for weight loss as such (as i'm trying through being healthy) but like the idea of losing the inches.

I've heard really mixed reviews, some that are amazing, some that say they've caused injury/some haven't seen much difference.

I don't exercise at all, i swim sometimes but since i've been off ill i've not done anything. The honeymoon is in five weeks so i was hoping to do something before then.

So what i'm asking is opinions? Did it work? How well? Also do i need anything ie weights?

Thank you Smiley smile

I've done it before and I'm doing it at the moment, currently on Day 24!

Its pretty tough, if you arent used to exercise you may struggle a bit to start, but there are easier versions of most of the exercises. Its also pretty hard on the knees, I dont have knee trouble and have felt it quite a lot.

I can notice the difference in my waist and stomach without a doubt, I measured before and will measure next week when I finish, then I'm going to do it again with heavier weights to take me right up to the wedding!

You'll need hand weight, mine are only 1kg each, so tins or bottles of water would do. If you have rough carpet or hard floor you may want an exercise mat.

    I'd recommend it!

I did it, but not properly (I did 7 days worth over 14 days) and I did start to see a difference. I need to get back on it!

I did it too, and on day 10 (feeling very chuffed with myself that I was about to start level 2) I slipped on wet tiles and seriously knackered my wrist so I chucked it. Was just thinking about trying to get back to it over the next few days but my wrist is still feeling sensitive so might need to skip the push ups.

I would defo recommend it tho, I could see a slight difference after level 1 already! Also, all three levels are on youtube, so you can have a wee nosey and see what you think first!

I've just done my second day of level two, it's pretty hard but I've definitely noticed a difference, mainly on my tummy and my arms which were the bits I wanted to change. It does get a bit boring but as its only 20 mins I can cope. You will need weights and a mat (if you don't have carpet) I wouldn't recommend starting when its hot, I sweat like an absolute pig even on a cool day!

I managed 20 days and did notice a difference. My stomach was a lot more toned. Had to stop doing the lunges because my knees really didn't feel right after a while and a year later I still get twinges in them if I try to do any lunging exercises.

Its great for the short-term but, like all exercise dvds, is very boring to use after a while.

I did it before the wedding and noticed a difference. I didn't do the whole 30 days as I tailed off towards the end, so only got to Level 2.
