I'm 16th June so not far away. Booked venue and registrar errrr....that's it. I've just started working full time. Been unemployed for 2 years so its quite busy with that and the kids so not much time for planning at minute. Once I'm in a routine I can crack on.

    What have you planned?

I'm the 22nd June, so a couple of weeks after you. I booked the register office and reception venue, my hair, bought my shoes, got photographer, dj and florist sorted on thursday night.

I've picked the suits, found my dress-maker for me and bms, decided on my colour scheme.

Jst got little things left to do, make invites/favours, decide on accessories for bms etc

good luck wiht your planning, its so much fun

Hi Ladies, I have done quite a bit - venue, food, photographer, bridesmaids etc but not started looking for my dress yet as I want to shift some more pounds. Any idea when your dress has to be ordered by? Also, any honeymoon ideas as I had my heart set on the Maldives but it is the worst month to go Thanks Jen x

    Hi

Mine is 1st June. All we've done is provisionally book the venue, spoken to the church warden, but still need to have that confirmed. Oh and I've also provisionally booked the horse drawn carriage.

We've decided that we're not going on honeymoon straight away. I can only take 2 weeks off work at a time and I want time off work before the wedding. Plus we want to go to Australia when its nice but not too hot, and I want to see bearded dragons in their natural habitat in Australia. Apparently the best time to see them is September. Is it weird to go on honeymoon 3 months after the wedding?

    Hello

Im 2nd June! As purpletaff said it seems to be a really busy weekend so i have also got most things booked. Just need to sort bridesmaids dresses, mens suits, rings and pressies!

I also wanted to lose some weight but a friend of mine ordered a dress and it took 10 months! (dont know why) so i thought i would go and have a look and get an idea of styles etc. I found my dress almost straight away and have ordered it - mine is taking 5 months to make. I still want to loose weight but i have a corset back dress so it should still be ok if not i will get it altered.

    ?

Hi everyone, My golly gosh time is flying! Only 4 and a bit months until Christmas and then our weddings will be really close!! I have finally found and put a deposit down on my dress. Unfortunately we couldn't take any photos so I will take some when I go back early November - speaking of which I now only have 2 and a half months to shift some blooming pounds. Everything else is more or less done. Having a meeting on Sat to sort out rough table plan and that's it really. How's everyone else?? Jenna xx

Hi Jlo and all you other ladies, I'm 3rd June too!

So far we've booked the venue, registrar and photograher. Mum has made all of the buttonholes and I'm in the process of making my bouquet. My car is sorted I've got my dress and jewellery and have paid the deposit on the BMs dresses (although there is a bit of a saga going on over the colour...) and we're giving notice next thurs! Very excting.

Is anyone else finding the small things boring or is it just me? I enjoyed the likes of booking registrar, photographer, etc but all the bits n pieces for favours and that are no fun, looking around for best prices ?

Ha ha. I am the complete opposite. I love buying all the little bits but haven't yet enjoyed the bigger tasks. Only problem I am having is that I really think I am going to be finished within the next month and I keep buying lots of little bits so probably spending way more than I should x

    Jlo84,

Its all the little bits that add up. I have bought a few bits n pieces, rather spend the money the now than nearer the wedding ! plus nearer the time there is more chance forgetting about sommat lol I know most of what i want, its all the looking about for best prices that i am finding boring ? So what big tasks have u still to deal with? x

Right, you asked for it. This is everything I have left to do:

    • Order invites & table plan
    • Finalise groomsmen outfits
    • My shoes & accessories
    • Bridesmaid accessories
    • My wedding ring
    • Make the favours
    • Decorate the centrepiece vases
    • Decide what to fill the hurricane vases with, order and the make them
    • Menu tasting
    • Decide on ceremony music & first dance
    • Book hair & makeup trial
    • H2B gift
    • Thank you cards for bridesmaids
    • Iron on transfers to the bridesmaids & mums dressing gowns
    • Song list for day band & night band
    • Mums gift
    • Decide on table names or just numbers
    • Speeches
    • Confirm colour of chair cover sash
    • Decide if definitley having a videographer and then try to find a reasonably priced one and finally...................................

So far we have managed to pay off most of venue- the biggest expense and half of my outfit!

Still got to deal with wedding rings, kilts, flowergirl outfit and wand, jewellery for myself, BM gifts, book hair and make up trial, buy day invites (already picked just gotta order nearer time), buy favours ( we know what we are having , just gotta get them ), decide on music for band to play, decide on music for bagpiper

    Hi there

Sorry it's taken me ages to reply but am at the in laws and my phone won't let me reply, had to wait my turn for the laptop! Have everything booked now I think. Been to see the registrar and venue so that's all organised. Went to the birmingham dress lady last week to order bridesmaid dresses so will let you know how that goes! Just need to have a look around at hair styles, shoes, underwear and jewellery now. Oh and think what flowers I would like. OH busy making invites inbetween doing DIY! Ticker gone down to 9 months now!! I am a teacher and reckon that once I go back in September things will go really quickly and June will be here before i know it.

Ah, just remembered that I haven't got music sorted for walking in and out of civil ceremony! Any places to look/listen for ideas anyone?

    Marie xx

I'm a 9th June bride. We've booked the venue, registrar, and tog. We're really lucky and managed to get the time we wanted (yay!) I've seen the dress I want online but not ordered it yet. I've an appointment on Friday to try on another dress I fallen in love with and hopefully find a bridesmaid dress. I'm starting to regret letting the BM choose because she seems to reluctant to like something. We're having a indoor/outdoor theme.

I have a million little bits to sort out and a lot of DIY to make.

    Hello

Haven't got bridesmaids shoes or mine for that matter. I have seen one pair that I like so need to find a shop which stocks them. Still need to sort out 4 bridesmaids dresses. Have ordered all the stationery needed for invites etc. Play lists just need a bit of tweaking. We have about 7 different play lists to fit in with the events of the day. Still have loads to do!!!

I have no shoes yet for any of the girls, although I have found these:

https://crystalbridalaccessories.co.uk/product/pink-paradox-cairo-silver-python-print-court-shoe-copy/ for my sister who likes high shoes and

https://crystalbridalaccessories.co.uk/product/pink-paradox-cairo-silver-python-print-court-shoe-copy/ for the other two bms who are not fans of high shoes and 5'9 respectively.

    I want these:

    https://crystalbridalaccessories.co.uk/product/benjamin-adams-holford-shoe/

but as my sister is buying they may be a little out of budget...
