404 Errors

Wicket, 17 July, 2012 at 07:50 Posted on Feedback to Hitched 0 8

These are becoming a regular occurrence and are very annoying. Could someone look into it please?

    Hi DumbleSpud,

In recent weeks a lot of updates have been made by our hard-working techy team here at hitched to ensure that various broken links no longer result in the 'sorry we have a problem page'.

If there are specific pages that you are trying to reach and are constantly receiving the 404 error, would you be able to add this information when reporting to the feedback form? That way we have a lead of what we can look in to.

All errors are captured at our end and we are doing the best we can to try and make using our site as easy and error-free as possible.

    Thanks,

    Fran

It happens when I try to access the BT forum, when I try to reply and when I try to open various threads.

I'm getting LOADS of these today, every 10 minutes or so. Really annoying!

It's been nearly 3 weeks now since the original post and it's just been getting worse. Can someone please sort it out as it's going to drive people away from the site as they'll perceive it as unreliable.

It's not specific pages it just happens at random times throughout the day and the whole forum is down during that time. If you have finished writing a post or a reply and thhit it 'post' your whole message is lost. It's been going on for weeks now as I'm sure you know and we have heard pretty much nothing back from you. It's so frustrating and people are only going to try to continue to use such an unreliable forum for so long.

    Hi All,

Sorry for not replying and keeping you updated on this frequently. To be honest, we are a little stuck with why this is happening.

We are constantly working on a resolution for it however before we can fix the problem, we obviously have to work out what it is. We are running ongoing monitoring, constant spot checks, tracers, filters, searching and doing everything humanly possible to get to the bottom of this.

Please do not think we are simply sweeping this issue under the carpet. We will fix it just as soon as we can.

    Darren

I tried to get on to the site at around 8am this morning and the whole forum was down - just got a blank page with no error message.

Still happening on a daily basis, no pattern just randomly loses the link.
