ESW, 22 April, 2012 at 08:04 Posted on Planning 0 14

Sorry a bit self indulgent - 5 months today?? !

So excited, had menu tasting last night and we were very impressed, sounds daft but as it is a hotel chain thought it would be bit standard but it was great very impressed.?

How are All the September 22nd brides getting on - I know there are a few !

As I have a package pretty much done now. Just

Mens Cufflinks

BM Shoes

Underwear

Pay final registrar fee and meet them, sort music

Make final decision on menu

Make table plan/menus

    Yaayyyy!!! ???

Im also 22.9.12! I know there are a lot of us now, when i first set the date there was only two of us!

We too have most things done! There isn't much left for us to do now, just the small things. Decide on menu, music, gifts etc.

Have you been for your food tasting yet? It was really strange for us last night, sitting in the resturant looking at our function room thinking in 5 months time we will be eating this as husband and wife. I then had a rush of excitment!

Eeeeek!!! so exciting, i'm 22nd Sept aswell, it's coming round quick isn't it!

I've only got the small things like accessories & stationery left to do.

Went down to the church yday with sisters/BM & had a little rehearsal of our own!

Can I ask you ladies how soon it is before your WD that your dress is coming in? They told me 22nd July, does that sound about right?

    xx

Seems ridiculous doesn't it Shell, my dress isn't in till 2nd August!!!! I nearly fell over when they said that was my first fitting, I ordered the dress in Jan because they say they need 8 months!!! But I know from friends and sisters experience this seems to be the norm! Long time to wait though I want my dress NOW!!! LOL X

Wow, I didn't realise it was 5 months until I came on here! I feel like I should be doing a lot more, I may be too laid back for my own good. Started making my invitations but maybe I should get a move on and get them out!

I'm getting an off the shelf dress which I tried on last weekend. Going to buy it in July with my bridemaids when we'll pick theirs from the same shop. Trying the dress on made it feel more real!

I'm the lucky one who has her dress at home but also the one with the dress that doesn't fit, well hoping it will when I pick it up next week from the seamstress! Bargin off ebay but it is causing me stress but should all be ok.

I sent my invites out very early and have all bar 3 RVSP's back for the day - it's strange knowing people want to come to our wedding ?

Oh my to be 8mth on the day pregnant bridesmaid may also be fun to get into her dress as it was ordered before she was pregnant - bridal shop said no problem and have ordered me a load more material so they can so there thing.

    I still have to

Get 4 of the men measured for their suits ( 3 already done), My dress is coming in in June but may not be able to try on till July as its up by my parents so need a day off to get up there!!, then its mainly finalising details!!

    So exciting.

The one with the dress that doesn't fit,

Sorry to hijack your thread September brides - I am an august bride. I also have a dress that doesn't fit. I ordered and bought online too small on purpose to lose weight before the wedding. Have lost weight but not enough so far! Am starting to get a bit worried and stressed about it now. ☹️

dont panic. Most dresses can be altered quite a few dress sizes. Why not source a dress maker mow and get the costs ect and then you know you have options either way!! With less stress about it you will prob lose the weight anway!!

    Im a 22nd Sept Bride,

me my mum n sister sat down on saturday making the invites, absolutely love them! Bought my stamps today so i get them at the cheaper price.

Spoke to the florist and organising a date to go see him n sort out flowers (he was booked 6 months ago)

Also spoke to the man with the cars, seeing him on sunday to look at said cars and pay deposit (bit late i know)

Also spoke to cake maker today, again i pre booked in with her nearly a year ago but needed to decide on the actual cake. Think i have nearly sorted that out.

Apart from that i think i am pretty much done, oh im ordering our wedding rings on Saturday, we already know the ones we want just need to put the order in.

Table plan half made, just have to wait till invites out and RSVPs come back.

Not sure of anything else i need to do??

Olderbride - I went to see a seamstress on Saturday and they are doing so of the alterations now - putting in a corset back and letting the dress out at the hips, it should be ready this Saturday for me to try and then we'll go from there.

I was in a panic about it but I know now that they can normally sort them out, as Celtic B said go and get a good seamstrss to look at it and get some costs. I may go back nearer the time and get some further alterations if I need to but I trust the lady that has it.

Looks like everyone is getting on well - good luck to you all x
