5 Ways To Get Slimmer And Thinner Naturally

smithjons, 6 October, 2012 at 09:06 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 5

Weight gain is something that haunts many people and today our busy lifestyles combined with the junk food culture is partly to blame. I personally after joining work (my job involves sitting long hours at the computer) gained about 15 pounds in about 8 months and it was only when people around started commenting on my weight did I start paying attention. I then took it upon as a challenge to get slimmer and thinner and consequently my weight loss techniques helped me to shed close to 10 pounds of weight in the next 3 months. My weight loss process continues to be in progress but in the meantime, I would like to discuss with my readers the techniques which I adopted to lose weight. I hope you may find these useful in your own quest to lose weight.

1) Run regularly for at least 1 hour daily: Early morning is the best time to run because the air is fresh which can help to boost your spirits. If you are one of those late risers, then the first two days of getting up may seem to be an epic struggle but once your body becomes accustomed to the routine, you will automatically find yourself waking up in the early morning hours. Jog and brisk walk for at least 1 hour a day and if possible stretch it to 1.5 to 2 hours. Walking burns calories and ensures that the excess gases that cause the body to bloat too get released. Moreover it ensures that you stay fit.

2) Exercise: The walking regimen should also be supplemented with adequate exercise. It would be best if you could perform the exercises following jogging. Yoga is considered to be a great exercise for weight loss but additionally crunches and pushups too are great workouts to burn excess fats.

3) Have light meals: Eat meals that are low in fats and calories. Foods such as oats though tasteless are the best foods which can prevent you from gaining weight. Avoid having oily and fried stuff because these are tougher to digest.

4) Break your food down into 7-8 servings: If you are someone who follows the routine of breakfast, lunch and dinner, then it is about time to shun that habit and have food in smaller servings of 7-8. This will ensure that you have lower amount of food to digest at a given time.

5) Get 7-8 hours of sleep: Sleeping is imperative if you have to lose weight. The body digests the food more during sleep hours and if you don’t get adequate sleep hours, then lesser quantity of food gets properly digested which then transforms itself into fat.

The author says that these natural methods are enough to help you shed weight but if you have metabolism issues then you could try pills such as Alli or Lipobind but these should only be taken with a doctor’s prescription.

Being diabetic I've learned that carbohydrates are what really make the difference. Avoid eating nothing-but-carb meals, or at least eat carbs that are digested slowly.

... and fat is necessary to slow down the digestion of carbs so don't avoid 'fat free' products. Fat free is a bad thing from a blood sugar point of view!
