55 days to go and would like some help

shetlandlover, 11 August, 2012 at 14:52 Posted on Planning 0 3

I get married in 55 days and sadly a week ago today I put my best friend, my elderly dog Scorcher down. She came to me as a rescue who was abused quite badly.

She had a range of health problems and it got to the point were she was in pain and discomfort all the time. It was unfair on her, even though I didn't want her to leave me. She meant and still means the world to me, I feel like I have lost a huge part of my life.

I would really like to include her in the wedding in some way, my table names are of my dogs & cats and obviously 1 of those will be named after her. However is there any other way I could include her? As she left a big impact on my family and me.

Thanks,

How about a little photo of her, either in a nice frame on say, your gift table or in a locket to wear or in your bouquet. Depending on your style of wedding, you could model a cake topper on her. I believe Urban Fairy did one of some one"s cat for example and they look really cute

    So sorry for your loss.

What about putting a donations box for the rescue centre with a photo of her on your gift table or the bar to raise money in her name?

Oh that's so sad. I'm so sorry. You must be heart broken ? I lost my dad when I was really little so for our wedding I'm going to have a locket either on amecklace or on my bouquet with his picture inside and we're also having a picture of him with a candle on the table near our cake so he's there with us all day, maybe you could do something similar. I know if I lost either of my dogs before the wedding I would xxx
