Hi everyone Smiley smile

starting to panic a bit now as it's 6 months until my wedding day and I still need to lose roughly 2.5 stone! Eek!! I bought a size 14 wedding dress in a sample sale and I will fit into it! Probably shouldn't have put myself under so much pressure, but I thought it would be motivating.. Ha!

I've lost roughly 3.5 stone the last 2 years, but it's really slowed down now. Does anyone else have quite a bit of weight to lose for their wedding? I would love to find a weight loss buddy for support!

Alice

Did another run today! Planning another tomorrow. Even if the weight isn't coming off I'm improving stats wise running each day, so it's spurring me on.

Well the run this morning didn't happen, was too tired!

Not looking like I will see a loss on the scales this week either! Grrr. I was 2lbs down on sunday, but it's back on now AND I DON'T KNOW WHY!

I shall just have to persevere.

I'm getting angry with my scales too Muppet, I just weighed myself this morning and I have apparently put on 2lb since Friday, grrrrrrr ;-( i know I had a bad weekend food wise but I did a 5 mile run to counteract some of the calories and I have been back on the diet wagon and trying hard since Monday!

    Well done Princessoj ?

    Well done princessoj!!

MP - it's so annoying, I know I ate and drank too much Saturday - but not enough to put on even half a pound so you'd have through burning nearly 1000 calories through exercise and sticking to 1200 cals a day would do something!! Not even counting cals from 5pm Friday til Monday as I'm going to enjoy my birthday, so no loss next week too no doubt!

I first weighed myself on Monday when I contacted you so there's a few days to go for my next weigh. I don't feel hopeful though as I've had a hideous cold this week so have hardly moved, let alone exercised!

I've got a birthday party to go to tonight, then tomorrow I'm having lunch with a friend then going to a Christmas lights switch on in the evening..... Willpower never has been a strong point of mine!

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Hehe thanks Julie!

Did another run today. My sister is a sports therapist and I moaned to her about all my effort and no results, she said she bases things on 12 weeks worth of progress which makes sense so will take some measurements of waist and thighs etc and mesure again in 12 weeks.

Ran yesterday, I've put on 2lbs over the weekend, which is no surprise, I don't think i'll lose it before Friday, because even though I'm excerisizing, I've been out for dinner 5 times in the last week.... and lunch twice. If I can maintain/lose a bit before new year and just keep up running I'll be happy, then kick it up a notch in the new year (it will be easier, as everyone will be on a health kick!)

Hello, just joined, got engaged three weeks ago, and aiming to lose a stone by end February, ready for dress shopping! I've tried to find people on MyFitnessPal but can't work out how to friend people with username on,my it seems to want people to already be your Facebook friend or contact?

hello and congratulations on your engagement ;-)

a stone by the end of February sounds perfectly doable!

on mfp you go to the add by email address bit and then there is the choice to add by username.

Muppet - How are you getting on?

i completely fell of the wagon and only got properly back on track yesterday so not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow! I will be happy with maintaining but will be gutted if I've put weight on!

    RBF - congrats!

MP - This week, I am dreading WI. I've had wine every night and I didn't manage my run this morning (although did 1hr walk instead) I've been exhausted and just don't want to cook. Hoping to get over this and back on track!

So really not expecting a loss, I had a 2lb gain on Monday so that or less than that for a gain would be a good thing!

Well - only a 1lb gain, which considering my week of excess is great. Today is going to be a struggle, but will try my hardest. Got a run planned for Sunday and will go for a walk tomorrow am (may even run) . If I can maintain or see a small loss over December I'll happy.

I've set a target, I want to lose 16lbs. So now I have something to focus on.

Hi Muppet ;-) 16lbs sounds perfectly doable, you will only have to lose 1lb a week and still have some spare weeks where you don't have to lose anything ;-)

I have lost 3lb this week! ? I can hardly believe it, I had to get on and off the scales a few times to make sure! Very pleased though and it has inspired me to keep going and stick at trying hard!

    Anyone else still with us...

    WelshSam?

    Princessoj?

    Hayles55?

    Bamboo?

    JulieHolloway67?

How are you all getting on? I hope your weight loss is going well ;-)

    Wow massive congrats MP!! amazing!

I think my goal is do-able and will see me a size 10 dress I think (am 12 now, so 16lbs gotta see a dress size drop!) and I'll be happy with that. And will work on getting toned up too.

Oops, can I come back to this thread? =)

Congrats girls for the progress, you're doing great!

I have lost 3 pounds on the last month, but now there are about 10 pounds to go (only 4 more for my top target) it gets harder and slower, so I am quite ok with the progress.

I did Jillian's 30 Day Shred and although was quite tiring, it was great for toning and getting "fit" - as in getting through 30 minutes hardcore workout without passing out ?

Will stop that now and change to combine ketlleworx, zumba and tae bo. See how that goes this month with Xmas and NY week in the middle. I am afraid but want to keep focused and in control!

    Have a great weekend girls.

Probably looking at another gain this week. URGH. Only myself to blame though, still working out just not really counting cals. I feel a lot fitter, and I'm sure long term I will see results.

Aw, I'm the opposite as you at the moment, just about sticking to my calories but completely fallen off the exercise wagon, i had a really nasty cold and now I haven't been to the gym for about 3 weeks although I have managed the odd run.

I am sure you will definitely see results in the long run, you will end up nice and toned ;-)

My issues is FFIL and FMIL both bought me huge boxes of luxury chocolates for my birthday, as I'm having a vegan month in January I need to eat everything with dairy etc in it before them!

Oh Muppet. what about the say "one minute on your lips forever in your hips"? ?

Why not keep eating 1-3 choccies a day and save the rest for post-January?

I am sure they would survive and not sabotage the diet Smiley winking

Haha to be fair I do only have 1 or 2 a day, OH eats most of them! Part of me just thinks sod it, I'm trying hard and getting nowhere, and not trying is still seeing me hover around the same weight losing and gaining those same 2lbs so I'll just have fun!!

I had times like that too!!!

But sticking to it really made a difference. I've lost a stone in 3 months, which I know is not huge, but it was full of ups and downs and stale times.

But still, it was a stone because I stuck to it!!

Ok, ok, I have a cheat day a week (lately maybe 2) where I try not to go over 2500 calories - tbh it seems I cant manage anymore - so it was slower but easier.

Have you though about cheat days? How much weight you want to lose? Sorry if I missed it from previous posts...

ANd I gotta tell you, once the 12 trousers are fitting again and the 10 are closing, and people notice the difference, is all worth the grumpiness when the scales are unfriendly!

    Don't give up!! ?

    I'd like to lose a maybe 20lbs.

I will start calorie counting again in January, but it's been a month of no drinking to excess, exercise and calorie counting to get nowhere, so I'm going to just enjoy myself up to new year and then start again.

I don't really overeat, but it was the drinking that was taking me over my calories, and cutting that out hasn't even done anything!!

Sorry to moan, It's frustrating me! I will continue with exercise and the running - will be starting Couch to 5K week 5 on Sunday. I also walk to work 3 times at week and walk the dog on the weekend too, then come the new year, hopefully i'll be determined to get my eating in order.

Well done on your loss though!!

You are where I started back in August! Smiley smile

I've lost 13 pounds since. Had lost another 10 pounds in the previous 2 years from when I was at my heaviest.

Now I have about another 5-12 pounds to go depending on where I feel I'll want to stop.

But life is too short, you're right so enjoy Xmas and NY gluttony - I will do too, but I confess I am afraid what will be the damage at the end of it all ? - and see you back here once is all over to kick restart our losses!!

You have a great plan in place, so I am sure if you stick to it, will work!

Are you planning to use myfitnesspal?

    Good luck!

    I lost another 2lb, I can't quite believe it, I am so pleased ?

I just hope I don't go too mad over Christmas now and put a load back on, although I'm working most of it so hopefully I won't!

How did you get on Muppet?

I forgot to weigh in today!! My 'adorable' dog decided he wanted to go for a walk at 4am, and woke me up to tell me this, que him whining until 5:00 when I gave in and took him out!!

Will see what the damage is tomorrow, then I think I'll not weigh until Jan 1st!

Well done on your loss! :-)

Hello! Sorry I've not been on for a while but I've been working away and struggling with that awful cold that's going round at the moment. I've felt rough for 3 weeks but coming through it now - fingers crossed it will be gone for Christmas.

I weighed myself this morning and have lost 1lb since last Friday. Not a huge success but at least it's moving in the right direction! I'd like to lose 18lbs before my big day which is now less than 6 months away. I'm not going to stress too much about it over the next few weeks but am going to be more proactive and positive come January.

Have a lovely Christmas everyone! :-)

Muppet - Aw, my dog has luckily never done that, lol!

Julie - 1lb off is great and 18lb in less than six months is perfectly doable, at least I hope so as I still have 27lbs I want to lose before my wedding in June! Hope you have a great Christmas and are feeling better soon ;-)
