Hi everyone Smiley smile

starting to panic a bit now as it's 6 months until my wedding day and I still need to lose roughly 2.5 stone! Eek!! I bought a size 14 wedding dress in a sample sale and I will fit into it! Probably shouldn't have put myself under so much pressure, but I thought it would be motivating.. Ha!

I've lost roughly 3.5 stone the last 2 years, but it's really slowed down now. Does anyone else have quite a bit of weight to lose for their wedding? I would love to find a weight loss buddy for support!

Alice

    Hello MissPickle

I've decided so that I can push myself to loose my weight that I'll set a date when I get 1 stone off my target! So no date yet, I want to loose quite a bit, looking around the 4 stone mark!

    Hope you're all doing well!

Right. Back on track. put on 3lbs over Christmas (eek!) but lost 1 of those yesterday.

Started up running again this AM, went well, not as unfit as I thought I would be after a 2 week break. OH and I are also going vegan for the month, which should help! (last time I lost 7lbs without trying) So feeling motivated and positive, and yeah. Lets do this!

    Happy New Year Muppet ;-)

I am down 1lb today when I weighed myself from before Christmas so very happy as thought I would have put weight on if anything!

I need to get back to the gym and back on track with the exercise though!

    Thanks MP!

I am following a strict vegan diet which will hopefully aid in weight loss! And I've done 2 runs so far this year, 3rd tomorrow.

Also on antibiotics (for no reason what so ever!...drs.....) for 2 weeks so can't drink.

Hopefully the scales will start shifting in the right direction now.

Found a great idea today! A work out jar. You put £1 into the jar every time you work out, so that eventually you can treat yourself to something!

    1st £1 goes in today!

    Hi all.

Been reading through all of your messages and you all sound like you're doing really well. Any chance I can join your weight loss party? I get married in 200 days (27th july) and I'd like to lose at least 2 stone. My dress is ordered in a 14 but would like to get down to a 12. I do quite a bit of exercise but I'm such a snacker on a night. Hopefully seeing you guys losing all your weight will spur me on. Just need to invest in some scales now!!

Me too! Well I have lost the weight, but I really need to keep it off now! And I've got blimmin' ages to go haha!

Don't buy scales is my advice...especially if joining a gym/doing more exercise because if you gain muscle you gain weight, so even though you're getting fitter and leaner, the scales are weighing heavier - not good for the mind or body to have scaled in my opinion xxxx

Right. I'm not weighing myself more than once a month, It's too frustrating.

I'm eating well and working out 3/4 times a week and not seeing a loss on the scales is too annoying. So my next weigh in will be Feb 1st!

Definitely a good choice to ditch the scales!! Have you tried intermittent fasting? Not for everyone, but I watched a BBC documentary on it and tried it out for 6 weeks. Ended up losing too much weight (never thought that would ever happen) so would be a bit more careful if I did it again! There is lots of info on it online and there are a few different ways of doing it. Also I replaced short runs (upto 30 mins) with 30mins uphill walking on a treadmill (or outdoors if you live somewhere hilly). That was a great way to lose a few extra lbs. ?

You will get there in the end, you have the commitment and drive and that's the most important thing! ?

I've tried it, it just doesn't seem to fit in with my lifestyle. I've just signed up for a 10k the weekend after our wedding, so training for that should help! upping my runs from 3 to 4 a week and will start walking to and from work as well which is another 4miles of walking a day too.

Ooooh which 10k are you doing? definitely a good reason to get out and run! are you doing it for charity?

Woohoo! I did Park Run on Saturday, but then ended up being lazy on Sunday. You've put me to shame! Well done Smiley smile

I am thinking of doing this though as it's 3 different things to keep me occupied and there is a 'fun' length which looks perfect http://goo.gl/93xFnb (copied of Twitter - does it work for you?)

Not sure whether to do it for charity or not? Hate asking people for money but I haven't done a sponsored anything in ages so seems like a good chance!

Oooo that looks good! I just hate cycling!

We do a charity event once a year as an office so I feel like I can't ask for anymore charity stuff from people, but it always spurs you on when you're raising money too.

This week I have been angelic! I ran yesterday and will run tomorrow and today (and i'll do it Friday too) I did a fitness blender workout - today was my first, it was so tough, I was sweating buckets!!

I'm also walking to work the rest of the week. I think Saturday will be a rest day for me.

My OH starts work at 6 on a Sunday morning so it's a great time for me to get up and work out/ do house stuff so we can both chill out when he gets home. (also tires the dog out so he's sleepy the rest of the day too!)

    How's everyone getting on?

I weighed myself this morning and have lost another 2lb, yippee ?

I am quite sore from my first week at my new gym though, there are quite a few resistance bits in my program and I now have really sore calves, lol!

    Well done MP!

Well this week I ran Sunday and Tuesday and started aerobics/toning on Weds/Thurs, was feeling the burn yesterday! I've also walked for 1hr a day since Wednesday.

Diet wise, things have been pretty good, I did go for curry last night and had 4 pints (feeling delicate today!) but it was veggie curry, and not smothered in cream. This weekend won't be great for eating, but I'm planning a run and workout on Sunday, and I'm going to weigh in on the 31st!

    Hello ladies,

I've just read through this thread and you're all doing fantastic! I get married in around 6 months and I'd like to lose 2 stone. I'm a snug size twelve, I'll never fit into an 8 because I have MASSIVE hips! But unfortunately I carry a lot of weight on my thighs, my bum and my arms. None on the boob area though thanks for that.... ? I started 'dieting' 2 weeks ago, I strated out at 76.6 Kilos, thats about 12 stone, and went down to 74.9, hovered around 75.0 and then this morning back up to 76.6. Im devastated. I've cut out so much, I dont drink, I've had one cheat meal of a tikka masala without rice or naan bread, just a plate of veg. I eat loads of fruit, dont drink much tea or coffee just green and peppermint tea. I'm hardly eating anything really but the weight is not shifting. I work in the office and out of bed at 6.15 and out the door at 7.15, get in at 6pm and then its too dark to go out for a run. I'm massively gym phobic and feel like im punishing myself fo no reason because ITS NOT WORKING!!!!! I've got the 30DS but it wrecked my back so I darent do it again ( Ive got degenerative disc disease so have to be careful) apart from living on dust (no calories in dust!) what can I do! Help me ladies!!

I feel your frustration, I'm running 3 or 4 times a week, walking my dog, walking 2 miles to work about 3 times a week too AND I started doing work out videos 2 times a week.

I'm following a vegan diet right now (although will go back to veggie in Feb) I barely drink and what do I get for all this effort? NOTHING!!

The scales are just too mean to me. So I'm only weighing once a month, and it must be doing something because my legs are definitely looking slimmer and more toned, I'll preserve but I just want to throw the scales out the window!

    Hello everyone Smiley smile

I have just read through the thread! Sounds like you are all doing great! I have weighed 60kg for over a year now and no matter what I do I just can't shift any weight Smiley sad I took part in a 12 week drop a dress size programme where we stuck to 1400 calories clean eating, bootcamp 3 times a week, walk 20 mins (at least) per day. I lost 2 lbs Smiley sad I did lose a few cm's from my arms and wasit but non from my hips which is where i mostly wanted to lose. I dropped to 1200 calories half way through but didnt make any difference. I suffer from an under active thyroid which is the cause of slow weight loss. (Before I developed symptoms and was diagnosed I was 54kg) I hardly ever drink - we eat really healthily and stick to the 80:20 clean eating.

I am getting married in 12 weeks Aaaaahhh!! and would like to lose at least half a stone if not more - we are honeymooning for 2 weeks all inclusive so would like to have room for all the cocktails and food ? hehe

I started Jucie+ today to see if it makes any difference. I go to 5 exercise classes a week with a friend and gym once where we use the weight machines and do a bit of cardio. I have a dog so he gets walked twice a day over the park and where I live is full of huge, horrible hills!

What else can I do? Help!!

    Harri x

Picky in the fussy way. I dislike a lot of vegetables, seafood (apart from fish), and really detest onions. It's hard to diet when the recipes contain a lot of food I don't eat. Wish there was some pill which contained all the nutrition you needed and made you feel full.

Congrats on losing weight. If anything I've put on weight due to snacking a lot recently. ?

    Hello Ladies.

Thank The Lord for this forum! Your all doing so well!!

I put the deposit down on my dress today and got the smaller size to make me loose the lbs!! It's a small size 12, and I'm hoping to shift a stone to make it a perfect fit! Just joined the gym and invested in a smoothie maker to get me started!

If anyone has any good healthy recipes to share would be good? Hubby to be is also on the diet so hopefully will help with the motivation! I've got 8months to go and hoping this will give me enough time to loose the weight and maintain it for the honeymoon!

    xxx

I was really struggling to lose weight for my wedding day - I tried calorie controlled diets, Slimming World & Weight Watchers. Although SW & WW did seem to work (slowly) i still found it quite hard to stick to the rules. I came across something on facebook called LotusLite - it is a natural skinny pill, they offer a free 2 day sample so i decided it was worth a go. I tried the sample & decided to order a pack of LotusLite. In 2 months i lost just over a stone. I was really pleased with this as it got me pretty much to my target weight for me wedding! The best part about it is that i haven't put the weight back on! Wahoooo! I am still the same size i was when i got married 4 months ago! Well done on everyone's weight loss and i hope my info helps some of you!

Good luck for everyones big days! Xx
