8 weeks to go, need help with eve entertainment! : /

JHenson1234, 10 October, 2013 at 08:54 Posted on Planning 0 1

Were having a small do - 40/50 max day and night.

we decided against a dj as not many guests dance - nor us really and we felt it may be too small a do for a dj - last thing we want is an empty dance floor.

So, we looked at duos and bands. Bands look great but as numbers are limited it may be just as bad having a 5 piece band with an emptg dance floor as havinv a dj....

we like ghe idea of a duo but they will be quiet versus a dj and band so there may be no atmosphere.

we need to make a decision but ive no idea what to do for the best. If we were having a big wedding its a no brainer - dj every time, but tge limited numbers really complicates it for us.

Help!!!!!! : (

    Hi

A duo sounds ideal! maybe one who can play some background music before the set, in between sets and afterwards, gives it an intimate gig feel, also a focal point for your guests.

We can possibly help, we are pretty busy around the time you say but send us an email and I'll happily chat further

We had a sax player and I pad for similar numbers and the atmosphere was great.

We requested the sax player stick to up tempo covers and she also freestyled over pop tracks, We did not bother having a designated dance floor people just danced everywhere.

I think the size of the venue makes a big difference too, ours felt full for our numbers (50 odd guests)
