I'm with bobbly on this, its Jet Set Willy all the way. I'd love to have another go at it but the online versions I found were either really slow or didn't have unlimited lives (which I need ?)

Does anyone remember a game where you're in a helicopter (or plane) going from left to right across the screen, progressively lower each time. You had to blast the skyscrapers below with bombs in order to eventually be able to land. Each round got faster.

Can anyone remember a game called Mr. Doo ? I'm not totally convinced that was the correct name for it though. It was a platform game, and it was a little guy (that looked like a women with a red spotty head scarf on) running around and pushing apples on the baddies. I hope someone can remember it.

Don't remember that one bettyb, but it's reminded me of one called Mrs Mop (I think) - anyone else?

My fave was Attic Attack on ZX Spectrum. never managed to complete the game though. am total pants when it comes to playing computer games. Also liked manic Miner and horace Goes Skiing.

I remember having to wait 5 mins for the stupid games to load by way of hooking the 'puter up to a tape machine only to find it hadn't loaded properly and having to start the whole process again!

Thank you ONE I have just found it on that site. It's a bit of a tease though as you can see screen shots but you can't play it. I also found a clip of the game on You Tube, ah the memories. Can seem to find any on line versions of it and I really want to play it now.

    Thank you.

It was called Blitz and was apparently a Commodore game, although I'm sure I played it on our Sinclair spectrum zx. Link here although I recall the screen being white: http://www.btinternet.com/~jason.brooks/JavaGames/Blitz/index.html

I had this game on our Vic 20. It was called Blitz I think. If you managed to land the plane the pilot got out and waved at you!

We had an archimedes. My favourite game by far was Terramex, but I've never met anyone else who's even heard of it! We also liked Chuck Rock.

On the school BBC computers, we used to fight over Granny's Garden. I was the first one to finish it! ?

Looking back i can laugh at the thought of my Commodore crashing after loading for 1 hr. Or was that my Atari. They were both reliable ?
