A business question, strange one but thought I would ask !

The proposal...

Well, it was her birthday, and I had arranged time of work etc without her knowing, and booked flights to Paris.

The night before we left work, and stayed in a hotel at Heathrow, then caught the early flight to Paris, Mrs Chippers to Be(MRSC2B) only found out as we were walking to the gate, managed to keep it from her while we were dropping bags etc, I had checked us in online !

So I had organised a car to pick us up from CDG airport and take us to the hotel, MRSC2B has always wanted to have afternoon tea at the Ritz, and I kept saying I would take her. So I decided to take her for afternoon tea at the Ritz for her birthday, but the Ritz in Paris ! - So the car drops us at the Ritz and MRSC2B was shell shocked !!

Anyway I had been in touch with the hotel before hand a number of times outlining my proposal, and when we arrived they had upgraded us to a junior suite, and a bottle of bubbles in the room, very nice of them indeed !

I had booked a private tour round Paris in a Citroen 2cv, its an old fashioned car, which is iconic to France ! - and I had told the concierge that I wanted the driver to take us to Montmartre for a stop.

Whenever we have been around London, MRSC2B has seen the caricature artists and said how much she wanted us to have one done....

So I wrote out in English and French, that I wanted the artist to draw us both together, with me on one knee with the ring and a speech bubble saying 'will you marry me', the drive stopped off for us and gave my instructions to the artist and he did as I asked, and when MRSC2B stood to see the pic she saw it and turned around and there I was, on one knee ring in hand asking for her hand in marriage !

After a bit of shock she said yes !!!!!

Luckily it all went to plan, and we are getting married on July 6th 2012 !!!!

The Paris thing was only because its her favourite place in the world !!!!!!!!!

And the idea came about because I didnt want to do the normal cheesy Eiffel Tower thing !

So like a 'Hitch' for the proposal market?!

I just wonder if there is the market out there

I know a lot of people in my current line of work with a lot of money who pay stupid money for a lot less silly things !!!!
