A demand...

Storky, 14 May, 2010 at 10:09 Posted on Planning 0 85

...for pictures of pretty things! I ought to ask more nicely, but this is a serious situation. I must have had a dodgy glass of wine last night, honest, and as a result I'm feeling a little delicate today. The only thing that will save me is looking at something pretty.

So, ladies of Hitched, don't make me suffer. Show me pictures of the prettiest thing you're having at your wedding. Venue, dress, shoes, jewellery or something else - it doesn't matter what as long as it's pretty.

The more pieces of pretty I can see, the more I will regenerate and return from the very depths of festering bog troll where I'm currently languishing to the super poised and polished lady I need to be for a meeting later.

Please help. Oh, and if you don't, a fairy will die and you don't want that on your conscience, do you?

?

I love these shoes. I want them sooooo badly. I've got my wedding shoes, but i could wear them to graduation.... I neeeeeeeeeeeeeddddd them! I love irregular choice. The sizing are pretty normal. Not good for wide feet though, good for my as I have narrow.

Thanks for remembering! Sort of sorted. I've bought a hideous all in one high waisted, cycling short style suit from JL - but it does mean stripping every time in need to go to the ladies. Not ideal! I haven't tested it with my dress yet though. I reckon I'll wear it till just after dinner and then go commando ?

    Sorry everyone. Hijack over....

    Feel free to wallow, Jumbly.

Ladies you are wonderful, I'm certainly starting to feel better. Might have something to do with the bacon roll though too...

    Keep 'em coming!

Thanks mrsmiller2b. I've got two made - one medium-sized and one small so that they sit in a cluster and they are just so, so lovely. Just got to work out what to do with the rest of my hair now!

I shall! I have Ma Cricket Bride and Bridesmaids coming to look at me twirling about in it on 29th and am intending on putting my deposit down then. I'm assuming once I've forked out a disgusting amount of money they'll let me take a couple of photos? I do hope so.

The thing that swung it for me was the exquisite corsetry.

Definitely! i can't remember if i took any pictures when i visited her shop, but then i was still decided between dresses at that stage, so that's understandable!

My dress...probably my favourite thing about our wedding:

My venue - a very close second favourite:

Was also going to post a pic of my OH, but thought that was far too slushy ?

Sorry to hijack the thread a little but jackie, that dress is gorgeous. That's the kind of style I want to go for, do you mind if I ask where it's from / who makes it?

Hshc86 - thanks ? its "Andie" by maggie sottero....I think it may have been discontinued as it no longer comes up on their site if you search for it, but some shops still have it in stock. I actually bought mine from preloved.com - its retails price is £750 i think which was over my budget, but I got it off the preloved site, brand new, never worn or altered, for £250 so i thought it was meant to be!
