A pressie for mechanic/car types (KB3)?

jaz, 11 August, 2009 at 10:42 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I had some work dealings with a garage for a while and they fixed my new car for me when it was crashed into (the other insurers paid) but they did a great job and were generally good to deal with when I used to deal with them before so I was thinking of getting a little gift to say thanks. Flowers don't seem right, maybe a big tin of choccies? But then I'd rather get them sent there than bring them myself so was thinking one of those delivery cake things that someone posted about but would this interest a group of men?

Anyone any ideas or recs for a delivery company who delivery nationally? Budget of about £20 or so.

    Hey you! How's tricks?

If you want to say thank you to a load of mechanics, buy them a crate of beers they can share between them. H gets bought beers as a thank you all of the time. That or a 'drink' on top of the bill but for £20 I'd say a crate of Stella or something.

Things are fine, pretty much counting down the days til we go on holiday! How's things with all of you? I imagine there's much excitement in your household just now ?

? I had thought about beer but tbh I'm not entirely sure how many of them there are and would hate to think of them having to share a bottle/can ? hmmm.

You can get crates of 24 from the local off licence for like £16. Or supermarkets do offers of 2 boxes for the same kind of money for now. A bottle each on a Friday or Saturday after work is all that's needed. Don't think too much about it. You snooze you lose ?

Things are good my end. Just back from Spain which was lovely. 12 days in the sun. Mid 30s everyday - heaven! I'm growing daily though which I'm still trying to get my head around.

You're friends with ATG aren't you? Poor girl is having a terrible time, see her post on BT. x
