A right royal hen do

Tina Teaspoon, 27 April, 2011 at 21:29 Posted on Planning 0 10

Eeeeeeeee it's my hen do this weekend!

I'm going to Edinburgh for the weekend with my mum, MIL2B, SIL2B and 6 of my friends. 5 of us are going up at lunchtime on Friday (thank you Wills and Kate for the day off work) and will have a wander round followed by a quiet meal and a few drinks. Then on Saturday we will be joined by the other half of the gang and we're going to a Bollywood dancing workshop! Then out for dinner and a lot of drinkies ?

As it's the royal wedding weekend, our theme for the night is over the top glamour/ royal wedding dressing up. I may possibly have Wills and Kate masks, and a replica Kate engagement ring ? plus a tiara and long black gloves. So excited!

The question is, what do I wear for the Bollywood dancing? I have no idea! Do I go for exercise-type clothing, or just something everyday and casual yet cool?

    Sounds awesome!!

I found this on a bollywood dance site...

Loose and comfortable clothing (not too tight, not too loose)
    Shorts/Skirt + Vest
    Trainers or Flats

I would add as many sequins/crystals as possible!

Ah sara.jo have a fab time! Let's compare notes when we get back ?

Thanks Mrs C, that's the info we got from the instructor but I still can't decide whether it means I should go for a gym-like shorts and vest combo or be more "me" and wear a dress and leggings or something. I don't know what's up with me lately, I am really indecisive about everything!

    Sounds brilliant!

I agree with the others. Leggings and a floaty top or dress over the top.

    I think leggings is good...
