Hi,
Thought I had best introduce myself properly. I have been lurking on hitched since I joined and have made a few posts but thought i would do a flashy one (if it works) a) to say hi and give you all the low down on our plans etc and b) to make myself feel a bit better.
OH proposed in Central Park NYC 12th June, the day after my birthday. He whisked me away for my birthday which was a suprise, where he had planned loads of suprises for us to do - mainly see Cirque du Soleil at Radio City, go shopping and stay at the Whardorf Astoria, but the proposal was the biggest one!
We have decided to get married slap bang in the middle of Winter, 31st December 2012!! We have booked and paid deposit on venue, booked registrar and chosen and paid for the stationary. We have a couple of meetings in the next few weeks with some local photographers and are planning on booking th DJ and Honeymoon before Xmas. Our Colours are Navy, Ivory and a touch of Silver and a Snowflake theme.
I was due to start my dress shopping tomorrow but as some of you may have read I lost my Aunt (mums sister), who I was very close to, in the early hours of this morning, so i have cancelled that as I dont think it is the right time or right to go without my mum. My MoH (sister) and BM are still coming over to do all things wedding planny to try get us busy and still enjoy the day as much as possible. Anyway here goes:
Our Venue - Taplow House Hotel
Ceremony room
Drinks reception bar with log fire
Wedding Breakfast room hopefully lit by candlelight for dinner
Downstairs is an open brick cellar with a bar and dance floor - very cosy
