A wee update on fundraising for Marie Curie in memory of mummy...

pinkjay, 25 April, 2009 at 14:49 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

Well I completed my walk for Marie Curie this morning and have raised £1027.50 so far! I would like to thank everyone who donated, it is really appreciated?

Also we had a fundraising night in a local social club last night for Marie Curie Cancer Care in memory of mummy ? and we raised £1728 ! It exceeded our expectations and is just amazing! Its fitting as my mummy fundraised for so long for MC. ?

Its been quite an emotional weekend but good to give something back and doing something worthwhile. I have started volunteering for MC too - its been great so far, I think its helping me cope with the grief as well as me helping them iykwim?

Anyhows, just wanted to say thanks and update you all. ? ?

Wow thats a brilliant amount, well done. Like the others have said your mum would have been very proud of you.
Im doing a sponsored sky dive in memory of my step dad who lost his battle against cancer last december. The money is going to the hospice where he spent the last few months of his life. My mum is also under going cancer treatment at the moment, hopefully she will be ok but I want to try raise as much money as I can incase she needs the hospice in the future.

    Well done! x
