My ex used to always have bright red cheeks from acne, it wasn't so much sore but just looked a bit unsightly. He had pills from the doctor (Have no idea what they were called, it was a long time ago!) which would completely clear it up, but he had to keep taking them, if he forgot he would have an outbreak and red cheeks again.

I would say you wouldn't be wasting time by going at all. Good luck Smiley smile

I have had acne for years and although I have tried plenty of over the counter creams none have worked as well as what I get from the GP. Book an appointment today, its not wasting their time, if it really is acne it won't go away without help and there is only one way to find out

I was given oxytetracycline as a teenager with Zineret gel stuff as a teen. Worked wonders. It really is worth going to the gp.

    Get it done asap

i started with acne when i was 11. I went through every treatment the doctor could give me. ended up being refered to the hospital. got put on a medication called Roacutain - the most horrible thing i have ever done, i could not drink for a year while i was on them, my skin would go so dry it would bleed and i used to have to go to bed literally soaked in E45 cream, i couldnt go out in the sun and when i did i would blister (i remember i got badly blistered 2 days before my 6th form prom!), i still have to wear factor 50 on my face. i do get the odd spot but nowhere as near as i did before

once i got over all that i went into hospital and had dermabrasion, it looked like something from a horror movie - my pics are on facebook if you are my friend, well worth it!!

good luck lovely and hope it can be sorted for you xxxx

I went to the Drs on wednesday!

I have been prescribed a tetracycline variant antibiotic and some erythmyricin cream. Also got told off for leaving it so long before seeking advice. I have to go back in a month to see how things are going.
