advice needed :)

Hi ladies i need ur opinion on this

I am gettin married in april 2012 and i have always wanted pink incorporated in my wedding (im pink mad) but the OH does not want to wear pink at all which is fair enough so iv had this idea to make my colours pink and champagne/gold. How do u think it would look if i have my bridesmaids in a pale or dusky pink colour then the groom in a ivory waistcoat and champagne/gold cravat then the rest of the men opposite so champagne/gold waistcoat with ivory cravat??? or possibly switch the guys colours round i duno lol.

I was thinking of decorating the venue to mix these colours too somehow

any ideas help appreciated lol

Would the other men wear pink? If so your OH could wear ivory and they could wear pink cravats? Most weddings I've been too have been done like that. Although my OH asked to wear to pink!

I think that would look great! Pink, champagne and gold look gorgeous together.

Or you could always do what the previous hitcher said and see if the other men would wear pink. If not you could always incorporate a tiny bit of pink into their buttonholes or just your grooms buttonhole.

You could do the girls and boys in champagne and OH in ivory then use pink flowers.. even make a nice pale pink sash for the girls dresses.. Its amazing just how much pink there is when just the flowers are pink!.. my friend had a pale pink and pale green wedding and the majority of things were green but the pink flowers stood out beautifully!

Hi there, totally understand - my hubby wouldn't even consider wearing pink at our wedding! I think colour schemes you have decided on sound great. You could incorpoarte an ivory or champagne sash or flower into the bridesmaids pink dresses so everything blends in. I personally prefer the Groom to have ivory tie/cravat - my hubby had an ivory shirt and tie and his bestmen had ivory shirts with champagne/taupe ties - worked very well.

    Hope this helps

I think champagne, pink and ivory sounds lovely Smiley smile It might be worth getting your OH to try some combinations on first and taking some pictures, just to check that the colours work on him and he's happy. Green is another colour that'd work well, especially sage green and dusky pink.

At the end of the day, I think it's more important to have the bridal party feel comfortable than to have them all match!

I really wanted pink at our wedding but I also wanted a colour that would represent Mr T so we went with green. I wasn't OTT in getting everything in the same shade, just lots of shades of pink and green. Looked fab.

    Ivory/gold and Pink will look lovely...very vintage-esque!

Just posted a similar reply to another topic (there's a piccy on there too...)

We asked all our guys to wear a "dark" coloured suit (navy, black, charcoal) and we were to supply them with a tie. D ended up picking a cream tie and the men had a pink tie - to match the bridesmaids. I personally don't like the groom matching with the men - afterall, the bride doesn't match the bridesmaids!

So I'd say, let your OH wear the ivory/champagne colour and stick the men in what you want ?
