HI Brides to be!

JUst need some advice as the date is getting nearer where me and other half have to start doing things rather than thinking about them!!

We plan ona having a child free day but happy for guests to bring children to evening....any ideas on how to word this?

Also rather than wedding presents we would rather have money to help towards getting a new kitchen but know some people want to buy things so having a v small gift list at debenhams....any ideas on wording for this?

All my inspiration has focussed on food, colours and nice details not wordin!! and last thing want to do is offend our guests!

From the minute I got engaged I had said I wanted a child free wedding and when word started to go around about it I made sure that very point was mentioned and no-one had a problem although I do know that one of my aunts will try and make a point of having her granddaughter brought along (my cousins daughter) but I can't have one child and not them all (when I say child she will be 10 or so, so not too bad) but time will tell (if I need to make up numbers or not ?)

Money poems are looked down upon here although if you just send word through the grape vine that you have everything for the house that you need and you can't think of anything but you normally shop in ie Argos, House of Frazer, Debenhams etc then you might get vouchers.
