Alien virus has taken hold of my face

JMarieS, 15 April, 2014 at 09:45 Posted on Planning 0 3

I get married on saturday and these huge bumps are appearing on my face. They arent spots - at least I've had no spots like them before! If not some sort of other worldly virus then probably a physical manifestation of stress.... They start red and angry and the just turn into solid lumps under my skin (nothing to pop even [gross I know]) I've had one for two weeks and a new one came up on the weekend.

Anyone got any tips for getting rid of these / hiding them / preventing more coming? Conventional spot treatments arent working (e.g. clinique anti blemish gel thing, clean and clear gel and free derm...not that im desperate and have tried like three spot treatments.....)

Ooh - not long to go so likely to be stress related. Could you get in to see your GP and get him/her to have a look? You don't want to start doing too much to your skin now as it could make things worse?

I have really bad skin and get lumps like that quite often. Try pure tea tree oil. Also, as they are new to you, I would get a doctor's appointment and have them checked out. Your doctor might be able to prescribe you some kind of miracle cure!

Good luck with your wedding day, I hope it is absolutely awesome!

Hi, not sure if its the same or not, but my sister gets large lumps on her back they come up looking they're going to be a really angry spots but they stay hard, can last couple of weeks and then go.

I'm pretty sure she went to the doctors and they prescribed dermol lotion - it's an antibac cream that you can use instead of of soap but also as moisturiser. I think you can get it in a chemist without a prescription, but may be worth a trip to your GP? it is good stuff, I've always had it for eczema. Don't try and squeeze them though as they get more red!

Get to the doctors asap or at the very least, the pharmacy. If you think it might be stress related then start on something like St Johns Wort or Kalms or Rescue Remedy (I've used Rescue Remedy at time of stress before - job interviews, driving test etc and found it really helpful.) A pure organic Aloe Vera product is good for skin irritation? May be worth a try.
