All I want to do is....

Kentish Gal, 1 July, 2013 at 19:00 Posted on Planning 0 15

...hang out with my man, my kid, my dog, get the house clean and wash my hair six times a day to get this wretched dye out.

I don't want to be at work any more. I'm ready for my wedding!!!!

I bet. I struggle to concentrate on anything else sometimes and I've got over a year to go! I can't imagine what I'll be like with five days left! Xx

    What's wrong with your hair?

If you want the colour out more quickly try using anti-dandruff shampoo- I've heard that helps.

Dandruff shampoo mixed with baking soda supposedly does the job.

Toni & Guy do an Advanced Detox shampoo in a white bottle, you can buy it in Boots. Basically the most stripping shampoo you can use is anything that is transparent and that Toni & Guy one is. Do try to use a good conditioner though, try Aussie if its not too heavy on your hair.

    Good luck xxx

You must be so excited by now, as other people have said I can't wait already and I've a year to go.
On the hairdye front, depending on how bad it is..you can use anti dandruff shampoo as it's stronger than others as it's especially made for scalp etc, try a hot oil treatment (wash hair before applying), also sounds silly but making a mix of water and vitamin c tablets lightens hair..i did this once when I dyed my hair and it went too dark n wasn't keen.

OH is on housework duty - his last shift is today. I'll be at work until 8 or 9pm Thursday evening. Friday need to blitz house (more), 2 hours putting bunting up and working out some logistical stuff @ hall, mega-shop for everything for breakfasts for us and all guests, I am hoping to squeeze in a body wrap!, plus a meal out in the evening with a load of people. I am going to be knackered when we kick off 7am on Saturday. Knackered but very happy!!!

I really wanted a change. And darker. But it was super-dark, almost blacky-purple. I hate it. I have washed it about 6 times in fairy liquid since. I am going to look like a nob in my wedding photos!!

Tense? Moi?! I'll not be doing this again, I can tell ye! What a lot of thought and effort and worry for one flipping day lol. I'm tired, hungry, excited, anxious and happy all in one! I don't do relaxing baths Smiley sad I haven't watched TV since February apart from a handful of 'let's sit and chill out' movies, because of moving house, changing jobs, son doing GCSE's, new dog and wedding.

I AM SO EXCITED AUGUST IS COMING!!!!!! I'm going to do naff all, day in, day out Smiley laugh

Tried bicarbonate of soda? I tried dying my hair black once to cover the red I had previously dyed it and it turned into a horrible inbetweeny colour, the bicarb stripped out some of the excess yuck.

Just seen this, i was red, like red red, and now i'm blonde, use the colour stripper. you can get it in asda, only about £5. your hair wont feel the softest but it will strip the dye out completely. Unfortunately for me i was left brown with hints of ginger where the red had stained my hair but it dyed over fine.
