I'll just say what 10 others evidently thought better of posting - if you've gto to ask you already know it's insane! ?

However I'm sure you could get some great you tube footage in the process.

"I was shocked! Tom kicked his litter habit and was using the toilet in just a few weeks. You've got a great product CitiKitty."

Hey Rick, It's natural or him to have a litter habit!

Is this a late April fool? is it still before midday where you are Peaches?

I just sick of the stench Lobster [xx(]

New cat just sh!ts too much! [V] I clean the bloody boxes (2) out 3 times a day. Boy do they hussle [xx(]

I'm going to stop his kitten food and put him on the indoor one Tippy is on. That's supposed to be low-odour for indoor cats. Either that or shove him outside! (sadly that's not an option)

I've actually seen this product advertised on the television, although it's going back a few years.

My aunt's cat was "toilet" trained. Not a bad idea if you have two toilets (one of which is generally not used) for a few weeks while you train them.

I'd be worried about my two leaving the seat up and skidmarks down the pan. They are both boys, you see...

    Hi

A friend of mine bought one of these - she has a multi-cat household (8 of them!!). Unfortunately she never managed to get past stage 2 which was having a little bit of flushable litter on the training seat as at least one of her cats didn't like the new litter - an expensive mistake there methinks! So it may be worth testing out the flushable litter with your cats before splashing out on one of these (pardon the pun!).

I read somewhere that you should try the litter out first to get the cat(s) used to it, then move it nearer to the loo, then onto the loo and so forth.

One lady said (I've googled!) that her cat started to use it, and then ended up pooing in the sink!!! [xx(][xx(]

One of our cats seems to have trained herself to pee in the bath, directly over the plug hole. She is a bit strange. I don't think mine would respond well to that, but good luck if you go for it. ?

I don't know, it might be sort of fun to see if it works. That is provided the cat doesn't fall in...

With regard to the cat pooping lots and it smelling so bad, I wonder if the same theory could be applied as with dog food. I was feeding my pup, Purina when I first got her as that is what the breeder gave her but once I switched to a better food, one that had meat as it's primary ingredient, she poops less and it doesn't smell as bad.

My friend is a tad impulsive so it's likely she missed this advice before she ordered her training set! The cat who disliked the new litter ended up using the bath as a toilet so it was not nice [xx(]

We have a number of cats - one of our newer arrivals is rather pongy but I think this is because of the amount of wet food she eats (we normally feed Hills dry food which makes the litter trays less whiffy) so hopefully the excess smells will be short lived!

I didn't know there was a special kit but we once successfully trained 2 of our cats to wee on the toilet using a similar scheme. We bought a dolls baby bath from the pound shop as the receptacle as I recall. It was about 5 yrs ago now.

I don't think it's daft, depending on the cat and how old it is, but he isn't going to flush. Just so you know?

DaisyCat - that's really interesting! I'll have to think about it as I'm not sure Mr P would even consider it - but I do hate the stink!

Zebra, I know lol. But I could try! ?
