Am I Normal - 4 weeks to go

emmah2b, 28 July, 2008 at 09:17 Posted on Planning 0 7

I get married on four weeks and I feel halfway between really excited can’t wait for the big day and half of me is totally terrified about the whole ‘getting married thing’. I’m not one for being the centre of attention and the whole thought of everyone looking at me is leaving me cold with fear, but on the other hand I had my dress fitting and hair trial at the weekend and loved it – Am I normal?? Help!!

My H2B has also turned into a total Groomzilla and that’s driving me mad!!!

    Yes you are normal.

The thing i aren't looking forward to is being the centre of attention either, but don't worry about it. You'll have a fantastic day.

I'm 12 days away now and i just feel like a big kid excited about everything!! I just hope the weather holds out for the next two weeks.

    Hi Emma ?

I'm sure it's perfectly normal, honestly!

For me it doesn't really seem real yet, We've got 19 odd days and I'm still feeling like it's months away!

Are you all planned and ready?

I feel a bit like this too Hep, i'm pretty sure the day will go through in a bit of a day dream, and it won't hit me for a while that i'm actually married and someone's wife!!

I think it might only hit home when they call me MRS on the honeymoon!

That sounds perfectly normal to me too - i'm 12 days away like Chids.

I'm just going to try to go with the flow on the day - just enjoy it for what it is.

    Hi!

I've got 4 weeks to go too and I'm starting to get a bit nervous - not so much about the getting married bit but just because I don't want anything to go wrong! I'm the sort of person to worry about little things all day so I'm going to make a real effort to put it all out of my mind on the day and just enjoy it all - if anything goes wrong I don't want to know about it!

    Ali :o)

Hi emma, I think what you are feeling is completely natural. I have been married before - marrying my future h2b december 2009 and whereas my first wedding didn't have the best ending, I had a truly fabulous wedding day. I didn't really want to be the centre of attention either but once that dress was on with the tiara and veil and make up, I felt an absolute princess and rather enjoyed the attention! My future h2b is a bit like you too - he is not looking forward to being the centre of attention - I told him to get a grip - everyone will be looking at me LOL!!! Hope you have a lovely wedding day.I am so excited about mine and I still have 508 days to go - now, that seems an absolute age!

Oh thanks ladies ? I was in floods of tears yesterday my poor H2B no doubt thinks I'm nuts!!

I feel like things are under control and we are on top of it all, maybe thats the problem too much time to think about it all ?
