I feel so fed up, everyone's posting fab photos of their entire families playing in the snow from yesterday. most people seem to be taking another day off today. I know I should be proud of him in that he knows if he stayed at home, he'd have to work late for sure every night this week to make up the time, but I am jealous of everyone else!

the pre school is shut so my toddler free morning has gone, which is a bit rude considering it's half term next week. my house is a pit and I was relying on a little time to clear up!

I am at the end of a lane in the country, so we are in effect cut off - no one wants to come and see us - yet my husband's managed to skid the car up to the main road both days.

I am soooo cheesed off. and I can't work out how to play about with usernames either. Boo ?

Both of us went into work yesterday and today. Only a nice little blanket of snow here, but the traffic yesterday was awful. However it did get H thinking about having a mobile office so he can work from home more often. Don't really know why he has an office anyway! (he's a self employed graphic designer)

Mine too (have you got my OH?)

He's a postie, and cycles 11/12 miles through the countryside to get to work, then does his route.

Me and H have both been in work too. Our work places stayed open and tbh other than last night when the snow really came down about 6pm we've not been that badly effected. What came down last night was pretty much gone by this morning.

    I'd have loved a snow day [:'(]

Mine was at work yesterday and would have gone in today, but he has a job interview so took a day of leave.

I went into work for an hour yesterday, but my boss sent me home again! So I picked up some stuff to work from home and then took 3 and a half hours to get home (normally takes an hour and a half). Working from home today again as couldn't face another mammoth journey!

My husband wasn't in yesterday or today coz its his days off ?

He's a Sky Engineer so it would have been freezing.

We only had a bit of snow. Today is like a summer's day with the sun shining and blue sky, shame about the temperature though.

Never mind to work, my H went running last night in the snow. That's just stupid, if you ask me. I admire his dedication to his marathon training though. Driven by fear, no doubt!

My husband has gone into work both yesterday and today. He's a barrister so had to be in court as the courts hadn't closed. Both journeys involved travel across the Pennines, but it hasn't been as bad as forecast, which I'm glad about. I sent him out with a "snow survival" kit in case he got stuck anywhere: flask of coffee, thick coat, rug, snacks, shovel.

My son's pre-school was open (hurrah!) even though all the schools are closed in my LEA. It was a pretty treacherous walk there and back though. Although there's not much snow on the ground here in my part of Yorkshire, it is very very icy.
