Am I the only one without wedding insurance? :o$

Hiya everyone

Before I got engaged and started on this forum I'd honestly never heard of wedding insurance! I keep seeing it crop up on here and it isn't something fiance and I have even talked about getting. Are we mad? We've so far got the venue, photographer, registrar and wedding band booked. And have got my dress. I'm assuming it covers you for anything unforeseen happening that would cause you to cancel everything?

Just wondered if anyone else on here has given insurance a miss?

I didn't bother, but we only started planning with a year to go and paid very little up front. If we had a lot of things to pay sooner than in the last couple of weeks before the wedding or if it was a very long wait I would have got some.

I don't have any either with 9 weeks to go everything is still in place fingers crossed it stays like that.

We have insurance - pretty cheap in comparison to losing everything if anything goes wrong!

We haven't got any although I do keep thinking that we should. I have put most things on the credit card so far though, and only paid a £500 deposit for the venue then the rest will be paid after the wedding.
