I've recently joined & have been posting over the last few days but want to officially say 'Hi' to you all & introduce myself!
I'm Sarah, I'm 39, I have a 2 year old Daughter & I'm getting married to my partner of 8 years next September!
That sounds like some sort of ad hahaha!
My wedding is going to have a rustic/woodland theme & the main colours will be orange & cream with brown & green accents. My flowers will be gerberas. My venue is booked, it's a Conference & Events centre set in acres of countryside.
I've been planning since the OH proposed in January & 10 months later, here's what I have come up with so far!
I'm having something v similar to this. It'll be part of my centre piece which will also include a tall candle, a large jam jar filled with fresh flowers with raffia tied around the rim, a few pine cones & a couple of tea lights shaped as candles, all arranged on a slice of log. The following pic is the closest I've found that represents what I want:

For my favours I'm having Jam (for the ladies) & chutney (for the men) in mini jars with personalized labels & raffia tied around the top, similar to this:
My cake is going to be along these lines but the bark effect will be a natural dark brown:

I like this bouquet for me but want it tied with raffia rather than ribbon & it'll be in orange & cream:

My table plan will be a small tree with hearts hanging on it with everyone's names on. This will then turn into a guest book in the evening. There'll be small heart tags for people to write a message on then hang on the tree. My tree will be based on this one but it'll be in natural brown wood & have autumn coloured leaves on it & pine cones:
I recently changed my mind on my bridesmaids dresses & currently like these:
Finally, my dress!! I've only been to 2 shops so far as I'm in the process of losing weight (23lb off up to now but I'm still a size 18). My fave dress up to now is from the Sincerity Plus range. This is me in it!
Sorry for the super long & self indulgent post! I'd appreciate & welcome your thoughts on my theme/ideas though as I'm really nervous about whether it all goes!!
