And so it is done....

Dr Doo.Little, 18 June, 2009 at 17:42 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 11

I've culled the friend.

We announced that we were having a baby on Sunday and I've had loads of congrats messages on facebook, but nothing off him. So that's it I deleted him, I know I don't need people like him in my life.

So I'm down a friend and I'm not sure how I feel about it TBH, even though I do know it was the right thing to do.

At least the uncertainty is over. Ending a friendship is hard, but you have tried your best with him.

Big baby congrats to you both. A new chapter in your life ?

Well I know I might be slightly bigger at the moment but I didn't think it was THAT noticable <sniff> ?

I'm feeling a bit better now, I've just been out for dinner with a friend and cheered myself up. Thanks for all hugs, and thanks to everyone that has given me any advice on this, I know you're all right and I did listen in the end!

I cut contact with someone I thought was a friend and while it was a long time coming, I actually felt relieved once I realised I was feeling much better without having to wait and wonder how they would hurt my feelings next.

    Totally his loss ?

I am so sorry it had to get to this but you are much better off without him in your life.

From today the incidence of thinking about your old friend will decrease - promise!

    Congratulations on the baby.

Oh....you're pregnant? I thought you were just turning into a bit of a porker!?

(says she with absolutley NO room to talk atm - I can see people on the train assessing with whether I am pregnant or have merely eaten too many pies!)

    Glad you are feeling better.?

Really feel for you. It is so hurtful and I've been there. Don't you just wish that facebook notified people when you culled them, so that he'd know you've deleted him. Pah. It will get easier I promise. x

I did actually think that too, but he'll realise soon enough and I'm still in his friends lists, just not his.

Well I had to stand on the tube the other night despite sticking my stomach out, so I obviously do look just a little porky rather than pregnant!
