Annoying things OH has done...

Last week I got bitten by midges or something horrid due to all the hot weather. I am very allergic to insect bites so they have swollen up and got worse, which I knew they would as I suffer with it every summer but usually only abroad. Had my usual anti-allergy pills, creams etc with no better results and can't get in to see a doc til next week, so have just been putting up with it feeling a bit itchy and miserable. Had a little bit of sympathy off the bloke, but generally just not said anything.

OH didn't do his houseworkly jobs last week til I made him after I told him I thought the lack of hoovering was not helping if we had dust mites or whatever, so eventually he cleaned our carpet and I have scrubbed the place top to bottom, changed bedding, hoovered mattresses, sanitised everywhere (including the cats in case it was fleas or something they had brought in from the garden). Asked OH to buy me more tablets which he forgot to do of course.

Lo and behold this morning he discovered, with an amusing look of fear and horror, a tiny little itchy bump on his leg and now it's all 'we must deal with this', 'something needs to be done' and rushing off to the chemist to buy a million antidotes blah blah blah. Bloody men! Mine are like huge red scabby pancakes on my leg (most attractive) and he doesn't bat an eyelid, but no when his precious skin has a small dot on it, it's the end of the world.

I can't be the only one. What irritating things have your OHs done?

My OH refuses to take the bin out. It drives me crazy. If the bin is full, instead of taking it out, he will get a carrier bag and fill it up and put it next to the bin. it drives me insane! he also refuses to wash up because it makes his hands dry.... i bought him the special fairy that is 'kind to your hands' and some gloves but he still finds an excuse. He has the most annoying puppy dog eyes that make me forgive him instantly!

This. It makes me want to drown him in the bath.

This is most definitely one thing thats annoy the heck outta me. Im sure she has a blind spot when it comes to either finding the loo brush or scrubbing the bath.

Don't the magical bathroom fairies do it for you? I am sure that's what OH thinks happens in our house.

H's favourite trick at the minute is using the last of the loo roll, and leaving the cardboard tube (with maybe a sheet or two left) on the holder.

Another thing was he wouldn't dispose of a slug in our bathroom when I asked him to, despite the fact that he knows I have a weird phobia of them and secondly that one of our dogs got ill after eating one (he contracted lungworm), so now every time I use the bathroom, I have to check to see if there is a runaway slug lurking near me.

He still cuts a cheese pizza or toastie with a knife and then hides it until the cheese turns to concrete.

Mines a pain in the ass usually, but I have to praise him to the hilt today, I'm poorly and he's gone off with a list to do do the full monthly food shop, post office to pay bills, chemists for my prescriptions, he hoovered and mopped and made lunch before he left and put a wash on! Hats off to Mr C today!

ETA: Minus points for packing the bread underneath the 6 pinter of milk= squashed to the point of inedible. Also forgot juice, lettuce and my special request of monster munch. "It was too busy to look for stuff!"

My OH is the opposite of most of yours I think. He annoys me with too much cleaning!! He says I'm messy but I think that I'm normal. He will insist that dinner plates are washed within 2 seconds of eating the last mouthful. Hob has to be cleaned when it is still burning hot lol. But the most annoying thing is going out for a lovely meal and then him asking for the bill seconds after I eat my last mouthful. He can't understand that it's the time out that we are also paying for - he see's it as a task done. I've started ordering a drink just before I finish my meal so I have to sit and drink it before we leave lol.

Mr T is rarely allowed to do the food shop- mainly because he comes back with crisps, alphbites and sweets and thinks he's done well

I once had an ex that came home from a food shop with a bean bag. No food. Just a bean bag. He got distracted.

? hahaha OH gets distracted by the end aisles and offers. luckily we now live near a small, food only supermarket. OH came home with buckaroo once because it was on offer... It's always amusing when he goes shopping and it means we have takeaway that evening!

This is the first time Mr C has ever been. Only through sheer neccessity. I gave him an aisle by aisle very specific list that he was not to defer from, and to be be fair to him he didnt. He just forgot those things, and squashed my bread. And took ages.

Confession time - I think I am the 'man' in our relationship! I leave clothes all over the floor, leave empty toilet rolls on the holder, never empty the bin, never clean the bathroom, get distracted while shopping, leave my shoes next to the rack instead of on it, etc etc. It's a bloody good job I'm cute, otherwise I don't think he'd want to marry me!

Mr B does sometimes leave cupboard doors open. And farts lots.

Thing is, he hasn't done anything in particular really - we're just not getting along. He stormed off out earlier and I honestly wasn't expecting him back any time tonight but he's just came home so I'll let him off. He has work from 10am-10pm tomorrow - hallelujah!

Shame you're so far away! I'd have come up to keep you company and sod these husbands of ours.

He's buggered off upstairs now while I'm trying to work on my website which is driving me CRAZY. Probably the reason that I've been in a foul mood actually!

There must be something in the air tonight! My H stormed off too, I text asking where he was and he said "gone for a walk" I said "to the pub you mean?" and he said "not sure yet, maybe. Just walking at the moment though" well he can keep walking!

In general everything he does annoys me at the moment - the trouble is that he doesn't see anything wrong with how he behaves!

He's back. Slurring like a drunken fool. I better get pi$$ed quick or I am going to kill. He literally does just pretend nothings happenned.

Oh there are a lot of naughty husbands tonight then aren't there. And poor mcSquirts can't even console herself with wine.

Better make it a Becks Blue for you so you can at least pretend ?
