Another Facebook moan

In the previous thread I stated I am being ruthless deleting people who make repeat stupid updates. Yesterday someone got the chop for listing photos of things they were trying to sell. Erm... it isn't ebay!....

My biggest pet hate is that "checked in" app. thing. Today someone has checked in at the hospital because her daughter is constipated (sp), and another has checked in at the garage because her car is having a service. Do I care??? Anybody know if there is a way to hide only that app? If not I'm afraid those folk will have to go!

    In your news feed there is a 'x' next to each status, if you click on that it usually gives you the option to hide all statuses from that person or all updates from that app...

    Farmville was the first to go on mine!!

    And why do some people think it's a great idea to keep sending you hearts or teddies to say how much they "love" you.... seriously???!!!

    Do they not get the hint when I don't click on the link or have it "published" on my profile... I DON'T want them!

    I defriended someone because she had an app that generated at least one inspirational quote from Jesus every day. I don't have even the slightest issue with people's religion, but I don't like it being shoved in my face. I felt kind of bad for defriending her but I had been trying to live with it for a fortnight and just couldn't hack it any more! She never posted anything else so it was pointless keeping her as a friend and just blocking the updates.

    Farmville ones are really irritating but I must have blocked them by accident as I don't see them any more.
