another favour question.....

SunnyBlackConfetti19, 4 April, 2014 at 11:49 Posted on Planning 0 8

So, who can tell me, does eveyone get a favour, or just the ladies?

Traditially I think its just supposed to be the ladies, but that feels a bit mean.... from a prectical/cost perspective, do men even really notice the favour?

arrggghhh - who thought such a little thing could cause such a dilema!!

In my experience, everyone gets one. Sometimes they're tailored to suit the age/gender etc, but I've never seen men not getting them. Smiley smile

How interesting, I had never read that favours were traditionally for ladies. Does anyone know the original reason?

We're giving them to everyone. Vodka for the women & whisky for the men.

We're having them for men and women. Different colour favour bags for men/women so we can lay them out easily when it comes to setting up the room.

Silver travel perfume bottles for the ladies, silver mini hip flasks (with a shot of whiskey inside) for the men. Both are refillable, and I managed to get hold of 100 mini funnels to include in the bags to make the refilling possible! Plus some personalised love heart sweets in each favour bag. All pretty unoriginal, lol !

When we started planning the wedding I didn't want any favours as I thought they were a waste of money.

Now 1 month until the wedding everyone has 2 each! A scratch card in a thank you card and a little box of lindor chocolates to go with after dinner coffee.

i think women notice the details more than men so I'm sure you could get away with just getting the women a nice memento of the day.
