Another jewellery advise thread

jellytotlou, 11 April, 2011 at 20:35 Posted on Planning 0 6

I'm really struggling with my jewellery (and my bridesmaids but I'll save that for another thread). I seem to spend hours looking but i'm going round in circles, so i'm hoping you lovely ladies can offer some advise. I had originally thought i should go with a pearl pendant but now my head is spinning, i'm not sure.

This is my dress

And this is my tiara that i've ordered from Lisa at Louloubelle designs.

I'd be inclined to opt for a round necklace because your dress doesn't have a deep sweetheart but that's not to say it wouldn't go and as long as the chain was short enough it would be fine so here are a few different options.

How about a freshwater pearl necklace with or without some sparkles?

The rhinestone balls will really suit the tiara and I've got the exact same elements as used in your tiara so I know how they look together and when my customers have ordered my pearl flower tiara they usually opt for this design

or less pearls and more sparkles

If you wanted a more delicate design then a necklace like this bracelet would also co-ordinate with the silver aspect of the tiara

If you want to discuss anything or have a bespoke design mocked up for you to think about just drop me an email - ******@**************.**.**. x

    Hi Lou

    I didn't realise you were a hitcher ?

Personally I'd go for a round necklace with your dress.

Although there's some pearl and crystal designs that would suit the detailing in your dress such as Stephanie, I think it would be nice to match the jewellery to the tiara and obviously I can do this no problem.

The rhinestone balls which are used along the band of the Samba side tiara are featured in the Hope necklace and bracelet (that Mrs C recently wore and described it as "the most beautiful jewellery I have ever seen"!) and the pearls could be freshwater pearls (shown) or Swarovski pearls to match those used in your tiara. This is in 8mm but could be made slightly smaller in 6mm beads.

Another range that uses the gorgeous rhinestone balls is Samantha which is a really popular bracelet and could be made into a necklace too - again any adaptations can be made to the pearls size etc and colours match to your tiara.

Or for a daintier option something like Purity but again I could add in some little rhinestones too

    Hope that helps.

I echo what the other ladies say with regard to a round necklace.

I would also stick with mainly pearls as they will tie in with your tiara. I have a few pearl necklace that may suit but would be happy to discuss a bespoke deign with you.

Thank you all so much for your help. Looks like a necklace is the way to go. I'll have a look at the websites.
