Another knicker (sort of) question

Houdini, 6 May, 2010 at 18:15 Posted on Planning 0 16

What are you all wearing on your 'wedding night'? There's too much choice / pressure of what to pick!

Black, red, white, pink...

Silk, satin...

Chemise, babydoll, vest / knickers set...

Will he even notice??!! 😄

I like the look of this: http://www.lasenza.co.uk/nightwear/glam-sexy/level3.aspx?d=3&collection=9&style=701838&product=030010670&img=SS910_64 but didn't know if it was 'special' enough.

Also quite like this: https://www.annsummers.com/_

But none are jumping out at me! I think this is proving to be the hardest decision! Anyone care to share their choice? Will check back tomorrow as OH due back soon and don't want him getting a whiff of this post!

TIA x

ETA: Am thinking I'll just want to sleep after getting up at 6 on the morning and the reception going on till 1 but I figure I should at least go prepared! 😉

I'd be careful of La Senza stuff. In the last 10 years (gosh, showing my age!) it seems to have gone really downmarket - I'd make sure you actually see anything you buy, cos in my experience it can look a bit on the tacky side.

Does he have specific colours he likes?

I can promise you my OH wouldn't care if I rocked out the bathroom in slinky underwear, he'd pull a face and ask me what an earth I've got on. He's proper romantic, I'm so lucky! ? I've stolen an idea off someone on here and got a Spurs shirt with my married name put on the back. He'll notice that!

I absolutely love them both but think the pink one has the edge for me. x

I just tried to check your links but as I'm at work I got a block on it and it has now been reported I was trying to browse underwear sites to the systems manager - ha!

Is a tough choice, do you wear diff. pants throughout the day compared to night? I imagine my man will want us to strip off a soon as we're in the hotel room (we have a hottub ?) so won't have time to sneak off to change the pants!

Some do, or indeed fabrics or styles - e.g. some don't like "tarty" stuff, or whatever. Have you looked at figleaves?

Oops - should have put a 'not safe for work' disclaimer on it! Though saying that, I don't have that problem in work - in fact, my boss and me ended up looking at an escort site one day! ? There were reasons, but the reasons are boring!

bsb - willl have a look at Figleaves now (off to vote in 5, may not make it back from the pub for a while!). I really can't see him being too fussy though, he's a fairly easy going kinda bloke!

A white vest trimmed with lace and some white shorty style knickers trimmed with lace - with "Mrs T" on the vest ?

I always wear them sorts of PJs for bed so thought it'd be fun. He alos keeps calling me Mrs T now and I keep correcting him to Miss so i thought it'd make him smile.

See, this is more us really! But then, I don't want him expecting something special and it not living up to his expectations iyswim?

I really am overthinking this now. I spent less time deliberating over dresses!

Teehee - we have both said no pressure on the night, but, as I said in my OP, I still want to prepared!

Im not quite sure. Was thinking of getting the nice slinky underwear for during the day. The bustier style bra and nice shorty pants.

Will need to get some new night-wear for honeymoon tho. My OHs a dairy farmer maybe... http://www.lasenza.co.uk/nightwear/characters-slogans/Level3.aspx?d=3&collection=33&style=701695&product=030010790&img=SS310_85

Spurs are changing their kits so I really struggled to get a shirt. In the end I found a seller on Ebay who was selling the shirts with the number and lettering of your choice for £60 which wasn't bad seeing at the shirt alone is around £40.
