Another newbie looking for help and advise

Ebstone, 14 August, 2010 at 00:29 Posted on Planning 0 7

I have been reading through this website for a while now and love it... I was just wondering on everyones thoughts on the traditional first 3 songs/dances. Do you still follow all 3 or is that a thing of the past? I do not know what to do. We have picked our 1st dance but are struggling what to do next. Neither of my parents are here but do not want to exclude OH's parents if we can help it but do not want it to seem strange. (sometimes it is better to change something completely then to try and make it look like you are doing something you can not... hope this makes sense!)

What are you all doing and any thoughts to what I can do?

Em

Thank you Mrs C and nearlyMrsJ. I do not think I will be off here for the next 2 months haha!

I think that does sound like the best idea, just did not know if there was another way so his parents could be included.

    Thanks

Welcome, I am not planning any special music for this but will prob just make sure that teh music is acceptable if my dad does want a dance etc. Your situation is obviously slightly different. If you want these why dont you dance with your new father in law and let your OH dance with his mum? Good luck and becareful this site is highly addictive.

Hi, and welcome to Hitched! You could have a second dance where you ask OH's parents and any BMs/Ushers and their partners to come up and dance, but everyone dances with their own partner, if you see what I mean. People get to join in, but with none of the problems with changing partners. Ill stop now, as it's starting to sound like everyone should put their car keys in a bowl......

Haha, no car keys in bowels planned....!

Thank you for your thoughts. Defiantly something to think about. Like the idea for inviting close wedding party to join in with the second dance then going straight into the party/disco.

Thank you all for making me so welcome, am sure we will speak again haha.....!
