Does this mean sharia law places the life of the foetus above that of the mother?

As if the poor woman hasn't suffered enough. These people make me sick.

As for not driving while pregnant. Do they also suggest we do not cross the road, or leave the house or get out of bed - just incase we do something to cause harm?

In sharia law a foetus is divided into 2 parts , before & after a soul (infused with life) Abortion in medical circumstances is legal, but not in a "deliberate act"

Before the foetus is seen as having a soul - normally after 5mth of pregnancy is when a foetus has a right . The closer to the due date , if anything happens to the life of the foetus it's becomes a worse crime & therefore more "blood money" is paid.

It's horrible. I honestly don't understand the logic that underscores these things. Logic is a loose term, of course.
