Another problem - starting to feel like this wedding is jinxed!

Little Madam, 4 July, 2010 at 09:39 Posted on Planning 0 5

I came on here during the week to say I had been told about some "minimum spend" condition in my venue, which I will get to talk to the venue about today finally.. but in the meantime another issue has come my way..

..I tried on the most fabulous dress yesterday, and decided it was the one! I got a price which was a lot lower than I expected and so I put a deposit down. Now I have just read the invoice / order form and googled the dress so that I can send the link to my friendt and.. the one of the order form is not the right dress.! It's simular but the one on the order form has pearls stitched in whereas mine has daisy's... And my dress is another £120 dearer than what I have been told! The shops closed today too so I can't do anything until Monday! Grrrr

I know all I can do it wait - but I just needed to share with people who understand the stresses!

Is it possible that the shop call the dress something different to stop you googling it and buying it cheaper elsewhere?

I did wonder that for a moment, but they are both dresses in the collection.

This is the one which I don't want and which is on the order form:

And this is the one that I want:

They are very simular, but def not the same dress. Oh dear! I am starting to learn - when things go wrong all you can do is laugh!

Might have to take it back - the venue issue is sorted - just a mis-communication by the wedding planners junior staff! phew - lets hope the dress is so easily resolved!

Of course it will be, its an error on their part so they will have to sort it out. Simple as that!

I genienly think she has made a mistake - looked on the stock list and thought that my dress was the one she ordered. It didn't have any tags in it so she went away and came back and said what it was and the price.

I didn't see the other one - it was when I googled the one from the invoice that I realised that it wasn't the right one, so after trawling through the designers collection I found the right one. The original one has the RRP per the designers website and so I am assuming it will be the same for the one that I now do want.

Either way - its enough to get me stressed out.. grr... might go and hit the shops for a while and forget about it! Smiley smile
