Another shoe thread

Sloan-R, 30 September, 2010 at 16:19 Posted on Planning 0 12

I've been thinking about my shoes and feel they may be too dark for my dress. I've put a pic of my dress next to the shoe pic and they look really dark. Has anyone seen anything similar but lighter? I can't seem to see any. I also want to keep the look vintage, I did see some lace ones by holly willhouby on very.co.uk but I think as my dress is so busy just plain is best. They need a hidden platform as i'm teeny (5' 2")

I cant see your dress, but i like those shoes. You could possibly add something else to your accessories of taht colour for the day. Maybe a pearl bracelet that colour, or something in your hair??

hang on to them anyway, whatever you decide, cos you will get good use out of them! Shoes like that are a good investment! ?

You may want more pricey ones (I'd be happy with a bargain though!) as primark currently have some really nice peep toe patent ones for about £12 which are lighter than those but the same style. They also have some nice satin ones with a bow on the back which are a light satin.

I have the Primark ones Lauren700 is talking about and they really are super comfy, i wore them for a wedding from about 11am to 2am (although i was quite merry for most of the evening so for all i know maybe they did hurt) they really are a brilliant bargain, they don't look like they only cost £12

HAve you seen your dress and shoes together or are you just going by the pictures as will prob be very different in 'real life'. Where abouts are your shoes from as i love them and am looking for something like them to put crystals on. Holly Willhouby has stuff on Littlewoods so may be worth having a look on there.

Gosh, those are some high heels! I like them,, maybe embellish them a bit by adding a vintage touch, lacey flowers on the front, or maybe a cute lace bow on the back? I saw some like that on etsy and fell in love.

Sorry I haven't been on ladies but thanks for all your replies.

Laura they are really like the next ones aren't they, but next ones do seem lighter so will prob go with the next ones. Having seen them in the flesh, on the website the first pic looks lighter than the 2nd, which are they more like (i'm hoping the 2nd)

I love the primark ones too but the platform on that is only 3/4" and with a 5" heel I think the balls of my feet would be aching
