Any advice for making own button bouquet?

Hi just wondering if any would like to flash any DIY button bouquets or help me figure out how to piece it together. My theme is around buttons and usually I'm quite creative but this bouquet is winning hands down at the minute. I've got all the stems ready but when I try to put it into a bouquet it just looks messy. I've tried a sieve like I found someone advised on a web page but that didn't work. I've got 6 months so plenty of time but I really want to get it done ASAP Smiley sad x

    This is mine:


    After making the stems I just arranged them one at a time and twisted them around each other.
