any blackberry users on here?

Stooopid question of the day.

I got my 'free' phone upgrade today from Vodafone and went with a blackberry bold .... now, this device is always going to be connected to the internet isn't it? So thats going to be using up my monthly 'internet' usage? I should have asked in the shop but forgot - and I can't face trying to call the Vodafone 'customer service' hotline ....

Is it heavy on the bills??!

Although if I'm at home (or anywhere that has wifi) I can connect to that for free right, if I turn off the mobile network connection?

Gah, I'm such a techo phob when it comes to phones!

I have a blackberry curve on vodafone. i pay £20a month

yes its always connected to the internet- but you can switch this off.

have you got broadband at home?- you can connect it to this- and therefore you arent using the blackberry vodafone net- therefore you wont go over the internet usage

if you havent got broadband then its ok- u arent likely to go over your usage- and you can always check by ringing the customer service number and they text you your balance so you can keep an eye on balance

    hope this helps

It's only connected to the internet when you actually go on the internet, it's not just on all the time running up the 'meter'.. Unless I've completely mistaken the question :/
