Any car booters around?

Sunset21, 8 July, 2009 at 14:51 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

My mum and I are doing a car boot at the weekend. I'm hoping to get rid of some of the tat my MIL buys me for christmas most years ?

what should I ask for a brand new chocolate fountain? I was thinking a fiver but is that too much?

I also have a brand new pair of hair straighteners - again how much should I charge? Think they're Babyliss or maybe Remington.

I think £5 is fair for the gravy chocolate fountain if it's unused, I assume it's boxed. As for the straighteners- I paid £1 for some used ones but would pay a couple of poundsd more for boxed unused. The issue is that you can't actually prove they work at the car boot so people are buying them on trust.

Do you have a trustworthy look about you? ?

Oh god a fiver is def fine for the fountain du chocolat. They'll *love* it!

I'd try £3 for the straighteners, or start at a fiver and take £3.

Good luck and take your nerve of steel with you ?

We're doing our first car boot this weekend as well. This all depends on the weather of course as it has forcast rain. I won't be selling tat though as I would too embarressed?Mainly selling the children's old books and toys. A lot of it looks brand new just got to decide what prices to charge.
