Any date twins - 2nd April 2011?

Can't believe I'm the only hitcher getting married on this date!

Hopefully me!!!! Im just waiting to confirm the reception venue in the next week or so!

That's my date too - hopefully ! I am going to confirm my venue next Sat - but each of the options are held for that date.

So far the only things I have done are bought the dress and the Louboutains ! (The most important bits the :-)

Not me but I dont have a date twin or a dress twin or a venue twin, so since I'm in April I'm crashing your post! HEHE!!

Ive got most things sorted, just need to finish table centres and make the invites and all the jewellery. All my Bridesmaids have gone for the same dress but in themselves are very different styles so I need to get my imagination going on what to make for their hair! One of them has her's shaved on one side for instance!

When were you thinking of sending invites out? Im thinking December to give everyone lots of time as its a friday, make sure they can book time off!

Nice to see some pics to flash, its about time I flash mine altogether soon when Ive got my venue booked.....

You almost had a venue twin because we shortlisted south farm, but since their recent features in magazines etc the prices seem to of increased a fair bit and is now a little bit out of price range now

Im going to send mine out just before christmas (i think!) or if not ready to post in the first couple of days after, I too might be choosing a friday so I agree with the early planning!

Im quite far behind due two family bereavments and only have:

church provisionally booked (2 dates till reception is booked) & vicar has accepted to marry us

my dress and BM ordered and shoes chosen for me (just their shoes to sort)

h2b's suit shortlisted (going to confirm next weekend!)

centre pieces designed (just got to buy the bits & pieces some in the xmas sale hopefully!)

flowers & florist chosen just got to go in and confirm & order

invite design almost finished, just to get printed when ready

photographers shortlisted ready to book when date is booked at reception (3 to choose from but i already have my fav!)

What else really big should I have done by now?? People think Im crazy doing it in less than 6 months, but after the reception & photographer is confirmed they are the biggies arn't they??! After those its all decorational....i think!!

Cake is either being made by mum or brought and is being decorated by my extremely talented friend for free! something like this....

Rings are a nightmare for me, ive got a diamond shape stone in the centre of the ER so will either have to have a cut out WR or to get it raised so I can have a wedding band. H2b knows what he would like, a plan band with some lines or indents going through.

God reading all this makes me realise i HAVE to get a move on!!

Agghhh!!! You've just scared me. Realised I do have quite a lot to do!

I need to sort out the cake. Yours is absolutely gorgeous!! We dont want to spend a fortune, wedding cakes are so expensive!! We were considering having cheesecakes as they are our FAVOURITE!

I have ideas for table centres, our theme is the sea since we met scuba diving. I'm making our cake toppers too, making us in our dive kit!

Got to design the invites, book the florist, sort out the music choices, send info to the venue......and the list goes on and on and on...

Also having issues with my photographer too!! Really unreliable, havent paid anything yet so now manically searching for a new one!!

South Farm is great? Did you go and get an actual quote from them?

Think we might go for sending the invites out just before christmas too. Hope they dont get caught up in christmas cards!!

I've got my dress, shoes, fascinator and jewellery. The venue, registrar and band are all booked. My bridesmaids have got their dresses and tiaras - they're sorting out their own shoes. The cake and florist are also booked. I've chosen my invitations and just need to order them when my OH finally decides on his invitation list. My venue provide the table plan, name cards, centre pieces so I don't have to worry about any of those - I'm going to see them in a few weeks to finalise it all. OH has booked his kilt outfit but the best man still needs to go to get measured up.

Think I'm pretty organised - just can't wait for the big day!

Aww thanks! I agree with you completely I don't want to spend a fortune either!! i LOVE cheesecake, we are hoping to have that as the pudding option for the meal

I saw the problems you have been having the one, was it a friend of a friend if i remember right? What sort of budget are you looking at? I can send you the links to the ones ive shortlisted if you like because they should all be able to do yours too considering we are getting married in the same county!

aww i remember your theme now because of the cake toppers you made, whats your ideas for the center pieces? flash away!

I havn't got an actual quote from them no, can I be cheeky and ask how much yours is? and what your having? feel free to email it to me if you don't want to write it on here!

Im in two minds whether to send them out with the christmas cards, but I don't know if thats abit premature?!

I can't get the photo of my cake to upload. But I've having three tiers of sponge - the bottom tier is plain sponge covered in white chocolate icing, the middle tier is chocolate sponge covered in milk chocolate icing and the top tier is chocolate orange sponge covered in dark chocolate icing. And it's going to be decorated with maltesers!
