Any hairdressers/bleaching experts about?

whitty1, 6 February, 2009 at 21:14 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

I'm going to the hairdressers tomorrow to do my second-stage transition to blondeness. I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's not as easy to *colour* clean hair. Is is the same for lightening? My hair is at the stage where I would normally wash it. It's not at the greasy stage yet, but it's not far off. Would I be best to wash it tonight or leave it and risk it being a touch on the greasy side tomorrow? (I'm not talking oil-slick, just a bit limp at the roots ?)

    Hi D!!

not an expert by any means, but ive always been told its best to have 'dirty' hair, as the natural oils in your hair protect it from the harsh colourants. We want pics!!

?That's a good answer. That means I don't have to go and wash, dry and straighten my hair ? I'll see if I can find a pic of half-way there....

Hopefully this has worked - excuse the inane grin. This was taken on our 5th anniversary in St Ives and I'd had the best part of 2 bottles of champagne!!
