Any ideas where to get LED pillar candles...... cheaply?

Desi, 2 January, 2011 at 20:29 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi all,

I wanted to use candles and candelabras for my venue but the management do not allow open flame. I have decided to use the flickering LED candles but the ones I have seen so far are pretty expensive.

Does anyone know when I can get these candles at a more reasonable price? Looking to get about 100 candles. I can always get the led tealights but this would mean also getting a nice holder for each of them.

Any help welcome.

We got 100 LED tealights that are a nice simple white around the edges and they were £2 for 4 in B&Q. We're going to keep some of them white and with the others im going to wrap double sided tape around the edge and cover with ribbon (that fits in with our colour scheme). I know its not quite what you are looking for but it is cheaper than buying candle holders.

    Hiya!

I hunted high and low for these for my engagement party and really struggled. I looked in lots of department stores, Wilkinsons, B&Q and Ikea and almost gave up until my mum found some in one of those "everything's a pound" shop.

Mine were made of real candle wax so they looked realistic and were vanilla scented so smelled nice too. Probably about 5 or 6 inches high I think so more of a pillar one than a tealight. At £1 each they were quite a bargain for us and did the trick (as we only needed 5 for along the bar) but it would soon mount up in larger quantitiies... £100 for 100 seems a bit more costly (although the same price per unit, if you see what I mean?!)

Anyway, that was a long way round of telling you to try a 'poundshop' or 'poundland' or 'everthing's a pound' or some variation of those shops!

    Hope that helps!
