We went for Hinckley Island Hotel. We live in Hull atm, but i'm from Ibstock & my parents and family live there and elsewhere in the county.

Planning a distance wedding is hard work!

My family are based in Dorset so it has been difficult not having them around.

I have my dress sorted and my shoes came at the weekend. I have made my own invitations and favour boxes are doubling up as place settings. I am making my own cake and cup cakes and the hotel is taking care of the rest

Just need to sort suits out, rings, flowers and BM's dresses and I am ready lol. I have plans for all these things.

I got married at castle donington park farmouse hotel (which was lovely btw).

Can recommend the Blossom Tree florist in Melbourne. Our flowers were really lovely.

DJ was through dancefloor discos

Our cake was from the cake decorating stall in Derby indoor market. It was amazing! And they were so helpful.

I'm getting married in Leicestershire!!! We're getting married at Rothley Court. What florists have you all gone for?? Have got quite a few details for some but no personal recommendations!

We're based in Ashby, getting married at The Priest House nr Castle Donington. Our florist is Lavish Wedding and Events. She is brilliant, would highly recommend. Cakes (normal and cheesecake) are from Norths Deli who are in Ashby and Rothley. They have been so enthusiastic and had a brilliant personal service.

Im from Northern Ireland but only been living near Castle Donington for about a year, getting married next year at The Priest House, have picked my dress from Blush in Castle Donington. And thats all the far i really have got!

I now live on the Leics/Notts border but I'm originally from just outside Leicester and got married in Quorn first time round and got married this July in Sutton Coldfield (although still used quite a few local suppliers).

Feel free to ask for any specific recommendations you need.

My mil2b is doing the table decorations for me but I am sure we will need to go to a florist at some point to order some flowers. For mine and bridesmaids I am having silk flowers as I want to be able to keep them.

I'm getting married at the Register Office then reception at Fieldhead Hotel, which is the same chain as Rothley Court but smaller so was able to book 6 months in advance and RC was booked on Sats until November 2014!

I am on a low budget so any recommendations will be more for being cheap but we're using Floral Fusions x

Not been to that one for a long time, but here is a few

I did see this place too ? - the numbers were too small for us though. I heard that about RC too at their recent wedding fair! We booked in February this year for July 2014 on a Saturday! If you haven't got a dress yet, I can recommend the Wedding Factory Outlet in Burbage, Hinckley. I got my dress from there for only £400 - there is a big selection too!

I too looked at Fieldhead - looked at their £1000 offer but it wasn't big enough for us either. Be lovely if you get a spare half hour or so to get some pics at Bradgate Park with your TOG - Would get some beautiful picutres!

I too can vouch for the Wedding Factory Outlet - i went foolishy just to look and didnt buy but just go with money in your purse :-)

Don't know if it's your thing but the was a magician at a fayre I went to who also does a full mobile disco. He's local so said he'd discount his usual prices. Now OH is begging me to find money in the budget because he was impressed with his skills, haha x
