Any Liverpool recommendations?

H is trying to organise his best mates stag do, and they have decided on Liverpool during the easter bank holiday. He's so busy with work and studying at the moment that I don't know how he is going to find time to do the research on what to do/where to go, so I thought I'd ask the otters! There'll be around 10 of them, they love a drink, and they want to do some kind of activity (H was looking at indoor skydiving until i pointed out that's Manchester!) Thanks ladies!

Are we talking day or evening, or both? I went to Liverpool last week, I just spent as long as I could in Central Perk and then dragged H round the Tate but the Cavern Club is pretty cool for a drink or two. Actually SillyWrong went there on her hen so she might be a good one to ask

Ha - ID you took the words right out of my mouth! I pretty much did what ID did though - Central Perk, Cavern Club, bars, pubs, dinner, laid down a track (!!)

Also went in Dec for W's birthday, though not sure your h2b's stag party would appreciate the couples massage which I would highly recommend.

I don't really have any local knowledge relevant to stag parties - sozza!

They have a good Beirkeller. You basically can go and try hundreds of different beers!

Is Easter bank hol when the Grand National is at Aintree? my memory is poo, but it's likely to make accomodation waaaaay more expensive if it is.

I'm not too familiar with Lpool but someone once described the Mathew st and concert square areas to me as "stag/hen heaven". No idea if that's a good or bad thing!?

Oh, I forgot about the Krazyhouse! That used to be a great rock/metal club, I haven't been for years but it's definitely still there.
