Hiii, I'm a May 2013 bride ?

I get married on 12th May and so far have:

My dress arrived in the shop today ?

Chair covers

erm... think that's about it. We don't need to worry about caterer or dj as they're provided by the venue and aren't having any transport. Time is flying at the minute too!

Hi Im another May 2013 Bride.

I am getting married on the 5th May,

So far i have booked/Bought:-

Venue, dj is being provided with the venue along with the toast master, they are doing the food.

Having no transport for me the bride, bridesmaid as me and the eldest bridesmaid are staying there the night before so that saves some money for something else for the wedding.

I'm May 2013 too - 18th

So far we have church, venue, photographer and my dress. Sorting out bridesmaid dresses, flowers and transport at the moment.

Time is going sooo fast! What colours is everyone having?

My Colour is purple and the theme of our wedding is Roses as my married surname will be Rose!

We're the 28th ?

We have booked:

Venue (which includes food), registra, cars, DJ, band, chair covers, centre pieces, florist (rainbow florist hib on here), tog, makeup, hair, bought bridesmaid dresses and booked dress maker for alterations, cake, bought rings (currently being engraved at local jewellers), bought some of my jewellery (hair, braclet and garter) and bridesmaids headbands (westlake designs another hib on here) and have bridesmaids gifts. Have chosen the suits but can not order until January, my dress is in the shop awaiting my first fitting.

Our colours are off white, lilac and lemon with a touch of deeper purple.

Edited to say also have all the invite stuff, just have to make them ?

Nice knowing that there are a few of us getting married at a similar time :-)

Our colour scheme is ivory and royal blue and so far we have booked/sorted the following:

Venue, catering, DJ, flowers, photographer, chair covers, registrar, wedding insurance, my dress is ordered but won't be in until end of year/beginning of next so have a while to wait until I get to try it on again!

Transport and the bridesmaids dresses/grooms and ushers suits will be the next things to sort out. There is so much to think about isn't there!? I am having fun planning it all though and looking forward to adding the finishing touches to everything. x

Just also thought that centrepieces are also done so can be added to the list above lol! A friend is hopefully doing our cake for us too :-)

I think my dress isn't due in until new year so I'm leaving thinking about my accessories and the like for the time being, trying to sort out my bridesmaid dresses is my next big thing. Hopefully that won't take too long to do! The style I originally thought I wanted I've gone off now I have my dress so starting looking again.

This year has gone ridiculously fast, seems like only a few weeks ago we set a date when in fact it was about 6m ago.

I know what you mean about finishing touches, I really want the day to be 'us' and keep trying to think of little things which do that. But the big things need sorting first!

Little179... So relieved you posted here - I'm May 10th and always feel everyone else has done more than me!! But you're at exactly the same place as me, with the church, venue, photographer and dress sorted - phew!! I'm on bridesmaids dresses, DJ and band at the moment - early stages of flowers and transport, but need the maids colours really!! Time is indeed going so fast!! xxx

Ive just about done everything I think now

Ive got the venue, chosen my dress (will order October as i'm loosing weight)tiara, band for the evening that comes with a dj, string trio for the respection, conffeti, chair covers and venue decorations, flowers, cake, save the dates have been sent out, invitations have been arranged but not yet confirmed, bridesmaids dresses, ice cream cart,registrar, I think thats about it

I still have to get the flower girls dress, gifts, my shoes,their shoes, suits for the groomsmen, rings

We're having a vintage styled wedding with dusky pink and cream colours

JuliaTaff - I know how you feel, still lots to do but we made sure we did what we considered to be the main things (venue and photographer) first and now working through the list for the rest. I'm anxious to get bridesmaids sorted asap because of the colour issue. Hoping to have colours along the lines of dusty pink/sage green/champagne etc but can't start making invites etc until we know!

I know that feeling, and I keep thinking, despite my extensive list, that I will forget something! Did you find your dress and your bridesmaid dresses easily?

I have just discovered the FA cup final isn't on 18th, which was something of a concern as I would have lost my other half and half of my guests....!

My dress, eek I had a major wobble and decided to loose my deposit and get another, its meant we've had to make some sacrifes but I think its worth it as soon as I put my dress on I knew I had made the right choice and fell in love with it straight away! Bridesmaids, mmm I think we have different idea's to what vintage looks like and the word comprimise isnt high in their dictonary, but as it stands we have chosen Dessy style number 6612 in carnation I think(its not very vintage but works well) they are being ordered in October(ive already paid my deposit to take advantage on the offer the shop had), I have a very petit teenager as one bridesmaid, another that is loosing weight and the last one is pregnant so im holding off as long as possible, before i let the shop put the order through, have you found your dress? how about your maids?

Ooh I like your bridesmaid dresses, that colour is really lovely. I haven't got mine yet, going to go looking for some in a couple of weeks. I'm looking for something short but similar sort of style. My dress is sorted, thankfully. It was the first one I ever tried on, went around and tried on another 15 or so and then ended back up in the first shop with the first dress 2 months later. It's a shame you lost your deposit but must be a relief to have a dress that you really want though. I'm trying to avoid looking at any others now in case I see something I prefer....! Have you been planning for a long time?

I am getting married May 25th 2013!

So far we have venue, bridesmaid dresses, half of the grooms outfit, and photographer.

To say we have only been engaged 4 weeks I think that is quite impressive!

I didn't realise how much there is to do to plan a wedding!

I'm tying the knot on 4th May 2013! (a.k.a star wars day!)

So far we have the venue, registrar and given notice, my wedding dress, BM dress, photographer, our rings, favour bags, have bought a number of bits and pieces for the table decorations. Also according to our spreadsheet we have paid off 58% of the wedding! I'm soo not usually this organised to have a spreadsheet ? I think we're doing pretty well so far!

Where is everyone getting married?

Oh My ! A spreadsheet that is very organised Jenny (and i think i must do this soon as i have been scribbling in the back of a book to try and keep track lol)

We have venue, registrar and photographer booked, Im having my dress made so thats in hand and have sent save the dates, Im currently having a go at making my bouquet and if that goes to plan im going to do all the flower type decor for the venue, rings we know what we want but need to order and favours im making. We are having lots of us things so not a theme or colour scheme as such and hoping it will all come together !

Main things to do are really Grooms outfit ( next year) and flowers which is my sticking point - can anyone recommend a florist in Kent/SE london area??

I have had people point out that 2013 is unlucky, so I am glad to see a lot of others on here who think it is rubbish, anyhow I have heard it auspicious and can therefore also be very lucky!!

I feel like everyone else is so much more organised than me though! I seem to only be able to concentrate on one thing at a time. So far done venue, TOG and my dress- at the moment its hair and makeup. Might need to pull my finger out a bit but I'm also coming to the climax of organising a weekend festival at my work so I have spreadsheets coming out of my ears at home and work!!!

I have a spreadsheet too which is really helping to keep an eye on how much everything is costing and whats booked and whats not! Quite scary seeing how much everything is costing but it is good when you can see some of it has been paid off lol.

We are getting married in a lovely country barn which has been converted especially for weddings. Having the ceremony and reception there. I just hope the weather is good on the day!
