Although i have recently just moved up to Morecambe, but will be getting married in Skelmersdale and venue is in Aughton, Ormskirk.

Whereabouts in Altrincham are you getting married and when?

Hi, we are getting married in St.Vincents Church and then on to Styal Lodge in Styal! all booked for the 6th October 2012

thats all we have booked so far! we were hoping to get more stuff sorted before christmas but we are paying for everything ourselves so money is a bit tight- especially around christmas!

Were paying for everything ourselves too, so far we have booked the church/venue/tog and hopefully will have the cars by next weekend, then will leave it until next year x

ahhh, i was looking there, looks stunning inside doesn't it! Haven't got any horror stories no, have you had some bad ones then? Were going to be getting married at the oaklands hotel in weaverham/hartford, dont know if uve heard of it.

I haven't heard of your hotel but just had a quick looky. If I've got the right one, it looks very nice! The lawn looks lovely and just right for rounders ?

When i was out in knutsford a few weeks ago there was a wedding going on there, i was having a sneeky peek through the window ? looked like everybody was having a blast.

you probably have the right one, think theres only 2 oaklands hotels, and ones down south. Its not officialy 'my venue' yet, going to book on monday, soooo exited!

Aww yes we were looking at the belle epoque too, was lovely but just a bit small for us!

was gorgeous though and one of my brothers friends got married there last year and he said it was lovely, so no horror stories from me!!

Think Manchester may be a bit to far for me, am an hours drive from Skelmersdale now, but could go to skem, drop my little boy off at his grandads and meet up somewhere bit more local, think having a look at a map etc and going from there may be a good idea x

I'm another NW bride! I'm near Manchester - in Reddish. We've looked at a fair few of the venues you guys have gone for. We saw the Belle Epoch (which was lovely, but out of our price range) and the Deanwater (gorgeous grounds, and a river!) and I'm sure you guys will have amazing days at the both!

After looking at loads we've gone for the Bluebell @ The Joshua Bradley in Hyde. Its a converted stable next to an old victorian mansion that has been converted into a pub. We love it!

I went dress shopping to Berketex and Bride be lovely in Manchestr City Centre and they were both excellent. We also went to Celebration Village just out of the centre but that was an absolute nightmare - avoid like the plague!
