    Meeeeee Smiley smile

We are on Friday 08th November and we have not got a theme although I was thinking about a fireworks theme i.e. different firework table names and sparklers in the dessert but I had already bought our table cards so just decided to stick with no theme...but our wedding is dark Purple (Eggplant).

Hi both, thank you for your replies Smiley smile nice to see some other November brides! What made you choose November in particular? I didn't want to be hot and sweaty in my wedding dress (no chance of that in November lol), but also I'm praying it doesn't rain, or is too windy - but guess we have no control over the weather at all do we! I know a few people who have got married in the middle of summer and it has rained all day so you just have to choose a date and go for it! Are you planning to do anything outside apart from photos? I would love to have a BBQ in the evening, just some burgers and sausages, to make it feel like bonfire night, but not sure. We are not having fireworks as they are too expensive, just having some sparklers instead.

We are having lots of leaves and candles scattered around to make it feel nice and warm! Have an appointment for our wedding cake this Saturday! Booked our honeymoon to Sri Lanka and Maldives Smiley smile Where are you guys going?

I am same as you we were originally getting married at home but would of been April I didn't want to be hot and sweaty in my dress and I suffer with really bad hayfever I didn't want to be sneezing my way through my vows haha x

Hi, I am a November bride, November 16th 2013. We are having a navy blue and silver wedding. We picked November because it is close to the winter season and we will be going snowboarding for our honeymoon.

We picked November for financial reasons H2B stops paying his debt ( car, young navy lifestyle.. ) in October so if we married before then he said I would be liable for his debt so November seemed like the obvious choice. I went to a wedding in December and it got dark very quickly so hopefully it will be light enough for photos, should be as ours starts at 2pm.

How have you found sourcing your deep purple colour? Have you got your bridesmaid dresses yet ?

We're getting married on 16th November, it's largely due to wanting autumn/winter and the availability of a registrar but i'm SO happy with the date, we have a venue that we can make extra cozy, everything in the same place and i'm able to stay there the night before along with my bridesmaids and a lot of my family!

We are having budgundy because of what I thought would be the ease of finding bridesmaids dresses (and i love the colour) but it has proved tricky to find anything non-bhs so i sort of wish i'd thought about dresses first instead of last!!!

We're not having a winter/christmas theme of any kind, but all our centrepieces are candles, we have fairy lights in bay trees and garlands up the stairs to give a warm and cozy feeling (hopefully not too christmassy as the stairs are in an entrance hall to the bar and not in the main room)

We have had complaints from my future MIL about the date and the fact it will be cold (she's a smoker) but she seems happy enough now!

    I'm 16th November too !

I'm having a lot of candles at my wedding so chose a month that would get dark early. I also think it's nice to choose a month where guests probably won't have any other weddings to attend - makes it a special event in everyone's diaries

Our theme is grey and silver/sparkle and we are having a 'comfort food' menu

My main concern was my beautiful manolo shoes getting ruined if its snowy or raining so I am investing in some 'wedding converse' to wear outside. Will also be handy when it comes to the dancing later on in the night ... heels off, trainers on

    129 days to go ?

    Kat x

    We're November 16th too...

It's going to be very villagey, getting married at the old church around the corner and reception in our own pub. Loving the candle idea! I haven't got a theme yet (only booked the church on Monday) but have left it to my 17 year old daughter to chose her dress and base the theme around that colour. She knows what I like and dislike so it'll be a compromise!

Any tips on finding cheap teams of white/cream material? Desperately want to turn the pub into a marquee!

    Thanks,

    Sarah xx

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. We're the 17th. Themes, well winter I guess, centrepieces are large vases with branches and white/silver xmas decs- not xmassy though if that makes sense!!!

We were always going to be winter as it's just a time we like, I wanted December but that was fully booked (we booked our venue June 2012!). Didn't particularly want a Sunday either but again all the Saturdays were taken and we didn't want to wait til 2014 and had found THE venue. Which is Coombe Lodge in Blagdon if anyone is interested!

Aside from suits and pageboys we have the majority sorted, it's just the fiddly decisions like flowers, hairstyles etc to sort now.

    Meeeee!

24th November for me. In all honesty the price was a major factor in us choosing November - it was a fair few thousand pounds cheaper than it is in summer.

Plus, i know so many people who've paid premium prices for summer weddings and had it absolutely chuck it down. I fully expect the weather to be rubbish in November so am prepared for it but if I'd paid £3k more for summer and it rained I'd be heartbroken.

Our colour scheme is dusky pink, ivory and black. It's all very old school glamour.

    Can't wait xx

Another November 16th bride! Smiley smile

We wanted to get married this year due to aging / poor health of some family members, and wanted to have everyone there possible. Having only gotten engaged last Xmas we didn't think summer would leave us much time. HTB birthday is November also.

Colour wise we are having ivory and navy; flowers are roses, thistles and fresia; we will have candles in jars to create a nice warm glow.

Hi I'm 23rd November. We got engaged on New Years Eve 2012 and didn't want to wait too long to get married, so opted for November as it gives us enough time to save. Plus I like winter! We have gone for white, silver and ice blue colour theme. Bridesmaids are in ice blue and we are all having brooch bouquets. Not a massive flower fan, so saves me money too!

Me too! We're getting married on 29 November. As it's close to Christmas we are going for a mildly Christmas theme, dark purples, plum and aubergine colours with silver sparkly snowflakes and lots of candelabra and tea lights - our venue is a manor house with roaring log fires and they will have put up their christmas decorations and trees so it's going to look lovely, festive and cosy!

We went for November basically because my H2B gets bad hay fever so we were looking for a winter date, Feb or early March originally, but we fell in love with our venue and they could offer the best price in November! I'm glad now we went for November over Feb as it means I don't have to diet over Christmas!

    Hey

sorry for the late reply just seen your message, I did struggle slightly not really with the colour just trying to find a style & colour I wanted, I found a dress on the wattters website that I liked & found a local supplier so was very pleased when I found them, absolutely love them. x

We get married on 11th November in Jamaica. We chose November because of the climate there at that time of year. We are having a reception back home on 30th November. We are having hot pink as out accent colour for the reception, as we think this is fitting with the Jamaican wedding.

I keep changing my mind about centrepieces, but really need to decide what I'm doing. Maybe gladioli in pink & some candles as well. Smiley smile
