Any one getting married December 2012?

Hope final preps are going well

I have recently reduced my bridesmaids down by 1 due to lots of issues.

Due to this I have a hanky which has Bridesmaid and 29th December 2012 embroidered on it

If any of my date twins would like it as an extra present for bridesmaid its free to a good home

Stress levels are getting ridiculous!!! OH has 2 interviews this week so BANG goes any spare time we had!!!! Still not made snow domes!!! Still not printed table names or made table plan!!!! Grrrr

Does anyone know what the long range forecast is for Yorkshire next week?

Oh, and he's going to the football on Saturday so that's another day done with!!!!

So we had a fairly productive weekend sorting out some bits and pieces. Picked up bridesmaid dresses, my veil and side tiara, got our flower girl sorted out and picked our church readings etc. Sadly no flashes but I promise to make up for it after the wedding.

What's everyone having for their first dance? We've been debating it for toooooo long and we aren't very romantic in the slushy love song kind of way so I think we've decided to go for a Christmas song instead. "Rocking around the Christmas Tree" is the current favorite.

That's a great song choice Kriek! We didn't want anything cheesy either, we've gone for There Is No Greater Love by Amy Winehouse, it's quite slow (which is good as we're rubbish dancers) but is only 2 minutes long!

I know! ? OH and I were both saying normally we're really tired and grumpy on a Monday, but we're both on a little cloud of happiness and excitement atm!

Rocking around the christmas tree is a fab choice! I like it! We struggled as we have very different music tastes and finding something that we both liked was tricky! OH is a bit of a rocker and plays guitar and likes all that stuff whereas I am cheesy pop boybad ballads etc! WE finally settled on Bon Jovi Always. x

12 sleeps for me now! had my second fitting this morning (means I gotta work my lunch but heyho) & still a few bits to do. The top buttons are too tight & need taking out a teeny bit,aparantly my bum is too flat so I have wrinkling there too. So this all needs to be done. I'll go back next Fri for another fitting & any work will be done before I collect it the next day. (Wedding day eve!!) oh & some more taking in needs to be done on my bust. Must have a shrinking bust! argh!!!

We've sorted our music & I think pretty much everything is sorted. H2B had a CT scan on his broken arm yest & will see the consltant tomoz, so we will then know if he needs an op or not. I hope not!

We also ordered a cheese tower cake thanks to a recent post on this site. There was me thinking we'd finished spending. oops!!!xxx

Still got so much to do but have managed to finish the crimbo shopping which is one less stress.

Was meant to pick up my dress on Saturday and after phoning in the morning and being told it was ready I got there to be told 'right all that needs doing is a, b, c' so not actually finished at all. Best be ready this Saturday as have no time off before the wedding except Saturdays.

19 Days to go for me !!!

We are having " Too Binge" by The Gorillaz (not everyones taste , but we saw them live 2 yrs ago and loved this song .

What is everyone doing if the weather isn't great in respects to walking on grass,ice etc .My Tog as got brollies and i think wellies but i'm having a 50's dress and these are going to be on show if i wear them . One of my BM's has stated that she isn't happy having outside photos !!!!!!!!!!!! with the bad weather that may occur . I'm trying to be diplomatic and saying the Tog will have equipment with him but how would you handle this ? x?

The excitement is starting to kick in for me now ?

Honestly Angel Wings I'd tell her tough! If you want pictures outside rain, hail or shine (hopefully the latter) then she should do it with a smile on her face. If not, then she doesn't have to be in the pictures.

I agree with Fergo that you will just have to tell her straight Im afraid!! She hasnt been diplomatic in telling you she doesnt want photos outside she has just told you by the sounds of it and so I would just tell her back!!

I've told the OH that we are not having any photos outside in case the curls in my hair drop!! I'm only kidding of course I will go outside for some nice shots but it's fun watching him get wound up that the lovely golf course wont be in any shots! I'm nice really but it is fun seeing him get a little stressed about some wedding things recently - obviously I've been planning the whole thing all year and only withj 3 weeks to go is he getting involved and so when he says things like" have we got anything with place names on so people know where they are going to sit?!?" (with 2 weeks to go!) I'm finding it quite fun to pull a shocked face and tell him I hadnt thought of that, what are we going to do?!?!? Lol! ? honestly the number of things he is coming up with that were sorted months ago!! x

Fergo and LEA2012

I was alittle taken back today when she stated to me that hadn't i thought of having indoor one photos instead.

I didn't tell her (when i was her BM) not to have outside photos due to adverse weather conditions , yes it did rain on her day but i'm not sure if the Tog had any equipment with him.Mine has said he has most things covered even down to having a supply of confetti if the guests don't remember (ahh) ?

Haha! Sooo typical of blokes!!!

My latest 'issue' is that my hoss has gone badly lame on his back leg. To add to the stress of H2B breaking his arm!!! So said pony is staying in his stable all bandaged up & I hope it's just a twist he got in the field yesterday & he'll be ok in a day or so. He hates being in though & is the patient from hell, so it's going to be a twice a day fight with him until he can go out again. I sooo want to be looking forward to the wedding, but things keep cropping up to p155 me off! ️?️

Vets out next weds to check out some skanky skin he has (Pony, not H2B) so if hes still lame she can have a look at him then. Hes 29 though & so is no longer covered by insurance, so I can't afford scans & stuff. Fingers crossed it won't get that far!!! Oh the joy of owning animals!!

I feel like a right old moaner lately!!xxx

6 days to go!!!!!!!How did that happen. EXCITED is the word of moment in our house not sure who is most excited me or our 4yr old daughter!!!!

Happy new year to all the other lovely December brides! I hope everyone had the most fantastic day, I did, I can't stop buzzing about it, it was the best day ever!! Everything was just so perfect, so many people commented and have told us what a great time they had and how lovely the venue and food was, so nice to hear after all the worrying that people would have a good day!

I found the ceremony and the morning quite difficult and was hugely surprised at how nervous I was! I almost couldnt speak when it came to my turn to repeat the vows, lots of tears! Lol. I think it is safe to say that I will never be a celebrity as I also found the constant attention and photos quite difficult too! I did get quite stressed out during the official photos and was very grateful for a drink at the end of it all! We then had the most amazing party into the early hours and I have the blisters still to prove it! :-) The only slight disappointment was that the venue lost our guest book which was had had made and personalised and so that was never sent round and we dont know where it is but we have plenty of other memories and so not the end of the world just a bit of a shame.

Off on honeymoon to St Lucia on Sunday and cant wait. Hope all of you enjoyed / enjoy your honeymoons. Take care and good luck with the rest of married life!! xxx

Hi December Brides

Well we've been married for 72 hrs now.

The day got off to a good sign , It Was Sunny (it did rain as the day went on but surprisingly stopped when we had the photos taken)

I haven't got any photos yet i do have plenty of camcorder footage taken by me and my sister who was one of the Bridesmaids .

Everyone said the day it self would go quickly and boy it did ! I got to the venue at 09.50hrs and then it was none stop.

I will get round to writing a report as soon as a get a few photos to show people.I felt fantastic in my LouLou Dress with coloured underskirt , so glad i had a ballerina length dress and a brilliant pair of Union Jack wellies to show off when we went to have photos taken around the grounds of Harvington Hall
