We have a big red heart cheese on the top. yummy. I havent eaten cheese for months as im on strict diet so i shall be troffing the cheesecake no doubt!?

I cannot believe how quickly December is approaching! I feel like I have so much to do still, I am looking forwards to when all the final number are with the venue and the caterers and I can just start focussing on all the little things to make our wedding perfect. Our initial plan was a subtle Christmas themed wedding but the subtle bit has gone out of the window - its full on Christmas, with crackers, stockings and mistletoe!

I do have a funny feeling I have forgotten something though and the wedding nightmares have kicked in! My biggest headache is that my bridesmaids dresses haven't come in yet and its making me nervous!

How is everyone getting on with RSVPs?

Our deadline was Saturday and we are still chasing around 30% of them. Grrrr

On a more positive note we've booked our cake, 4 layers of chocolatey goodness; my Dad has decided not to wear trews, yippeeee; flowers are booked and I have a dress fitting tomorrow.

I'm really pleased with our RSVP's our deadine was last week and I am only awaiting 4 day guests (2 couples)!

It's been a stressful couple of weeks but all back on track now, a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night I saw someone post on here that the shop my dress was at had gone into liquidation!! There was some brief information on the website over the weekend but I hardly slept as I had paid in full for my dress, I finally got a call from the shop directors the following Monday evening and they delivered my dress to my house on the Tuesday. Phew, panic over....or not!! It was hhuuuuuuuugggee! It was a UK18 and I am a UK12 and I could step into it and pull it up over my bum without undoing it, that's how big it was! Luckily my bridesmaids dresses were from another shop and they offered to help and fit it for me, I went in last Thursday very nervous as it has a lot of detail on and around the sides and breast I thought it might be ruined by taking it in so much but I saw a fantastic seamstress who said she would be able to sort it no problem! She is taking a massive chunk out of either side for starters and I am going back in this Thursday with my mum and sister (who havent seen the dress yet) for my next fitting.

It's all getting so close now I can't believe it, in a couple of days time we will be able to say we are getting married next month!! ?

    I don't know whether to ? or ?

Had a dress fitting last night. Dress was great but having a bit of a nightmare with my bolero that the shop said they would make for me. They told me they had ordered in the lace to match my dress but last night night they confessed that actually the supplier has just sent them a pile of lace embellishments which they will have to stitch onto tulle or something to make the bolero. The example they showed me last night was so rubbish in comparison to the one I tried back in February I could have cried. Stupid woman in the shop kept trying to fob me off saying it will work out the same but it's definitely not what I ordered 9 months ago and they only thought to tell me now. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I know it will be ok in the end once I've re-thought the detailing of it but I needed to let off some steam about it. My mum is going into the shop tomorrow to sort it out, she has a degree in textiles so she knows what she's talking about. Thank god for my mum!

I'm getting married 1st December. Everything is sorted and paid for, just got the cake to pay for.

dress fitting tomorrow afternoon and hen night on Saturday. I'm really no looking forward to my hen night as I had a massive row with mum last night about Christmas, I said we just want 1 year of not having to rush around everywhere (I now live in peterborough, family live in south Hampshire) as it gets really stressful. She absolutely flipped and started laying the guilt trip on me. Just so can't be arsed with it. Is it unreasonable to want to spend our first married Christmas at home with just us two and the dog?,

? Hi date twin! Im the 1st December too.

I dont think its unreasonable to want to spend your first christmas alone especially after all the stress you will have had planning a wedding!

Im sure your mum will come round, you only get married once after all and christmas happens every year!

Im biased though as we spend christmas day at home every year just me OH and the kids. We always visit family on boxing day.

LEA2012 my dress shop went under too, I got a letter on Christmas Eve last year to tell me!!! NICE!! She also placed the order but didn't pay for it, very kind, so I had to pay for the whole thing again and claim it back through my bank's disputes procedure!

She also ordered me one 2 sizes too big so mine is having to me altered quite considerably - going in for my first session next Thursday!!! EEk!! - but I think that's worked out better because I've not HAD to diet to get into it, I've just rambled on at my own pace.

Al our RSVP's are now in, and we're going for a final meeting with the venue on Tuesday!!! Of course this means that we've got to complete the dreaded table plan this weekend.....?

44 days to go for us!!! Can't wait!!!

I had my hair and make up trial today which went really well which has made me feel a bit better as Im having a dress nightmare (dry cleaners ruined my dress so have had to hire one last minute which I don't really like). At least I know the top part of me will look ok lol.

Also took a trip to The Range yesterday and got lots of bits we needed and are off to the cash and carry tomorrow to get the sweets for the sweet buffet.

    Rach xx

So jealous of all you girls getting your dress fittings just now. I found out on Sunday that I won't be getting mine, should have been ready this week. Basically a con artist and there are at least another 14 girls that i know of in the same position. One poor girl gets married next Fri and no dress.

Anyway, I have literally a spare hour tomorrow to nip into a local bridal boutique to try and find the dress of my dreams! Joyful!

Was this a shop or a dress maker that has let you down?

Hope you find something soon. When is your wedding?

Kriek at the moment we are looking good for a clear day (well in the south anyway)

Yay, I got a dress!! Couldn't believe it, I LOVE it. I actually cried when I tried THE dress on, so different from my original choice, but soooo much nicer.

It was a company, a sole trader I'd ordered from, all paid :-( I've logged a formal complaint with trading standards, and so expect to get a full refund, at some point!

Was stressing but now so excited. Everytime I think of my dress it gives me butterflies, awesome!! 7 weeks today, yipppeeee.

Love the forecast for snow. Jingle bells, jingle bells.......

I do have a little back fat tipping over the edge, which may be due to the bra being new & tight so going to try & wear it in abit this week & go back for another fitting next week!! the seamstress doesn't want to take my dress in properly until 2 weeks before the wedding as i'm still losing weight!! soooooo exited xx

Puddycat we aren't date twins anymore, we had to change to the 28th because our church was double booked! I should probably update my ticker.

I'm going to buy wellies to be on the safe side. Not sure what colour to get but need to make sure they have a bit of a heel or else my dress will be too long.
