Any one having a string quartet

Ours is costing about £380 for 2 hours.

The only other people that quoted me was the same price (well £5 difference)

I get to hear them on Saturday! ?

Mine was £700 for the ceremony & drinks reception...so roughly 4 hours, give or take. It was our one luxury really.

Also, ours are members of the Ulster Orchestra...maybe the ones you are getting quotes from are members of an orchestra too?

I'm in a string quartet and we charge £260 for the first hour then £100 for every hour after this.

Quartets generally charge more dependant on where they are based and sometimes experience.

We charge reasonable prices but we have all graduated with degrees from respected music colleges and are currently studying for Masters in music.

For more reasonable prices it may be worth contacting music colleges but you will still get musicians of a great standard!

I'm having a harpist instead of the string quartet. I priced one, (possibly the one Bonnielass mentioned as im in NI also and they're in the Ulster Orchestra also) but I thought that they were quite expensive so went for the harpist, as it was a bit cheaper!
